Wednesday, May 8th: Getting Over The Hump (Day), With Some Great Poker Action

ICYMI: Tuesday's tournament schedule started at 11:00am, with the $150 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo ($2,000 GTD).  Yesterday's field was surprisingly smaller than usual, as the tournament clock showed (13) entries at the end of registration.  Two spots were scheduled to get paid in the event, with action playing down until the money bubble burst, at which point the remaining players agreed to a heads-up deal:

The evening tournament was a different story, as the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Chip Buster" ($2,000 GTD) ended up crushing the guarantee.  Registration for the tournament would close with (33) entries, and an official prize pool of $3,201.  Official results from the event are listed below:

Tournaments: The recurring tournament schedule sees the return (at 11:00am) of the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Survivor" ($3,000 GTD)  The player-favorite event is structured with 16,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  For every one in ten entries in the tournament, a $1,000 pay spot will be awarded.

The evening time slot (6:00pm) hosts an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, which boasts a $1,500 guaranteed prize pool.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  At the end of registration (prior to Level 9), players have the option to add-on, with a single ($20) or double ($40) add-on.

Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hands, the poker opens with the Full House Promotion.  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $40 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $40.  In order to be eligible, the full  house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

 The day's "standard" high hand period will last from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.

Tuesday, May 7th: Monday Sees Two Tournament Chops, As Tuesday Is Highlighted By Full House Promo

ICYMI: Monday's tournament action kicked off at 11:00am, with the $130 No Limit Hold'em ($2,500 GTD), a staple event in that time slot.  After eight levels of open registration, the field would host (15) total entries, meaning two spots were scheduled to earn a piece of the $2,500 prize pool.  When the final table had seven players remaining, an even deal was agreed to, with the official results posted below:

Monday, May 6th: David Poces Tops Four-Way Deal Of $150 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD), Recurring Schedule Returns To Forefront

ICYMI: Yesterday's tournament schedule was headlined by Day 2 of the $150 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD), but there were two other tournaments as well.   The day started at 11:00am, with an $80 No Limit Hold'em event, which had a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The tournament's field would close with (19) entries, and a prize pool of $2,000.  Three spots were scheduled to get paid, and after the in-the-money elimination of Susan Krowitz, the final two players agreed to a heads-up deal.  Official results of the tournament are listed below:

There is an addition to the day's promotions, with the "Twilight Full House" promo beginning at 6:00pm.  The promotion sees (30) total prize awarded, with the breakdown as such: the first (15) full houses (that are tens full or better) will be awarded $50, while the first (15) quads or better will be awarded $150.  In order for hands to qualify for the promotional prize, they must be made using both hole cards (in Omaha, players must flop the qualifying high hand to be eligible).
