ICYMI: At 12:00pm yesterday afternoon, a total of (213) players returned for Day 2 of the $130 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD).  Just over half of those players would reach the money, with the bubble bursting just under three hours into play.  From that point on, the field would shrink at a pretty rapid pace, as the final table was reached just after 9:00am.  The action would continue on, until the point things were four-handed, with a chop then agreed to.  Richard Zisser (Boca Raton, FL) took home first place money in the deal ($15,139), with the official final table results listed below:
  1. Richard Zisser (Boca Raton, FL) $15,139
  2. Sean Shah (Delray Beach, FL) $13,250
  3. Carlos Forero (Colombia) $11,981
  4. Oscar Arrieche (Venezuela) $9,415

Tournaments: This afternoon, the recurring schedule returns to it's "regularly scheduled programming."  Tuesday's action gets underway at 11:00am, with the $120 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo event, which has a $1,500 guaranteed prize pool.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

In the evening time slot, we have the $130 No Limit Hold'em "Chip Buster" ($3,000 GTD), one of (if not) the most popular recurring tournaments on the schedule.  The event is structured with 50,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

Promotions: The "Turbo High Hands" were well received in December, and they have found a home in January as well.  Beginning at 9:00am (every day of the week), $100 high hands will be awarded every (10) minutes, with rollovers applying.  Because of those rollovers, we have seen the 9:00am-12:00pm period award prizes of $400...$700...even $1,000, over the past month.

The standard high hand promotion then takes over, and runs from 12:00pm-12:00am.  Qualifying high hands will be awarded $300, given away every (30) minutes (no rollovers).  During that period, if the winning high hand is made using one card, a $150 prize will be awarded.  For those players playing in a tournament, winning high hands will be paid out $100.

From 12:00am-3:00am, $100 high hands will be awarded every (60) minutes.
