ICYMI: Friday not only kicked off the second weekend of February, but also the third pair of starting flights for the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD).  After a day where there were a combined total of (181) entries, we saw Friday's numbers look more like they were on the opening day of action.  Flight 1E got underway at 11:00am, and by the time registration closed, the tournament clock would show (57) entries.  From that number, a total of (10) players bagged chips for tomorrow's Day 2, with the official Flight 1E chip counts listed below:

Rodney Moret - 420,000
Gloria Molina - 336,000

Robert Flacco - 28,000

Things picked up during the evening action, with Flight 1F attracting a total of (80) entries.  By the time the end of Level 16 was reached, just (11) players remained, ready to bag up their chips for Day 2.  Gyorgy Cseke (364,000) bagged the flight's chip lead, with official Flight 1F chip counts listed below:

Gyorgy Cseke - 364,000

To this point in the tournament, there have been a total of (418) entries, of which (69) players bagged chips for Day 2.  The current prize pool sits at $66,880, which is still (207) entries short of the number needed to reach the guarantee.  The final pair of flights are on today's schedule, with opportunities to play at 11:00am (Flight 1G) and 6:00pm (Flight 1H).

Tournament: The $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) event has a total of eight starting flights, two of which are on today's schedule. There is a flight at 11:00am (Flight 1G), and a flight at 6:00pm (Flight 1H), both carrying the same structure.  Players will be sitting down to stacks of 30,000 units, with levels that last (25) minutes, and registration that is open through Level 8.  Those players that are succesful in bagging chips, will return to Day 2 on Sunday (at 12:00pm).

For those that would like to join the action for a lesser price, there is a $45 No Limit Hold'em Satellite into the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD), which begins at 2:00pm.  The satellite is structured with 8,000 unit starting stacks, (15) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

Promotions: The "Turbo High Hands" were well received in December, and they have found a home in January as well. Beginning at 9:00am (every day of the week), $100 high hands will be awarded every (10) minutes, with rollovers applying.  Because of those rollovers, we have seen the 9:00am-12:00pm period award prizes of $400...$700...even $1,000, over the past month.

The "standard" high hands will be awarding $300 every (30) minutes (from 12:00pm-6:00pm).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded to those that use one card to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, high hands are worth $100.

At 6:00pm, the high hands grow even larger, as $500 will be awarded every (30) minutes.  The winning high hands made with one card (during the 6:00pm-midnight period) will be awarded $250.

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
