ICYMI: Sunday's $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD) has found a comfortable home in the Sunday afternoon time slot, offering a larger buy-in tournament, that also has a player-friendly structure.  Yesterday's event attracted a total of (87) players, an had an official prize pool of $30,276.  The top eleven players were scheduled to reach the money, with the evening's action playing down to a three-handed final table.  After the elimination of Michael Newman in fourth place, a chop was agreed to, with Shamica Lamar taking home first place money ($8,145).  Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated Weekly Tournament Leaderboard:

Tournaments: At 6:00pm this evening, the $250 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD) "Final Table Finish" returns, with a little wrinkle.  This particular tournament had such a good structure, that the final table action ran into the closing time of the poker room (players are then faced with chopping, or bagging for a Day 2).  To keep that from occurring, there will be some slight changes moving forward.

The event will be structured with 25,000 chip starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  The new format-wrinkle comes into play when discussing payouts, as the tournament will pay out just the final table, regardless of how many entries.  Exact payout percentages are as follows (final tables are now nine-handed):

Tournaments: It's been a while since we introduced a new tournament at the Isle Casino Pompano Park, but today's the day!  At 3:00pm, the cards get in the air for our $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD), an event that is sure to attract some South Florida's best tournament players.  The event's structure will see players sitting down to starting stacks of 20,000, and playing (25) minute levels.  Registration is open through Level 8, and the short break that follows.

Monday, September 27th: With Only Two Events Remaining In September, Raminder Singh Finds Himself Atop The Leaderboard!!

Tuesday, September 21st: Omar Sader Tops three-Way Deal, And Finds Himself Atop The Leaderboard Rankings!!!

ICYMI: With the incredibly healthy payouts that are offered during the $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($10,000 GTD), there are going to be nights when the tournament can't be settled prior to the poker room's close.  In that case, if players are unable to agree to a deal that ends the event, players bag their chips for a Day 2 (as was the case this week).  After the tournament attracted (189) entries, players were focused on the $39,312 prize pool, that was spread across (9) pay spots.  With first place scheduled to take home over $15,000, there were certain players that had their goals set on an outright win.  The final five players bagged their chips and returned to action on Tuesday, and after two eliminations, the remaining players agreed to a deal.  Omar Sader (Pompano Beach, FL) returned to the winner's circle, and in addition to the $10,997 he took home for first place, the 52.87 leaderboard points helped him climb to the top of those rankings.  Official results from Monday's tournament are listed below, along with an updated Player of the Month leaderboard:

Monday, September 20th: "Final Table Finish" Ready To Offer Healthy Payouts, And Player Of The Month Leaderboard Points!

ICYMI: Sunday's $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD) once again showed players, why it's one of the best recurring events in the area.  The field grew to (95) entries by registration's close, with over $10,000 of the $33,060 prize pool going to first place.  As afternoon turned to evening, the final table continued on, until the point that play was four-handed.  The remaining players then agreed to a four-way deal, with Raminder Singh (Boynton Beach, FL) taking home first place money.  Singh added over $7,300 to his lifetime earnings, and another first place to his resume (which is about as impressive as an "amateur" could have).  Official results from the tournament are listed below, with an updated leaderboard as well:

Tournaments: At 6:00pm this evening, the $250 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD) "Final Table Finish" returns, with a little wrinkle.  This particular tournament had such a good structure, that the final table action ran into the closing time of the poker room (players are then faced with chopping, or bagging for a Day 2).  To keep that from occurring, there will be some slight changes moving forward.

The event will be structured with 25,000 chip starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  The new format-wrinkle comes into play when discussing payouts, as the tournament will pay out just the final table, regardless of how many entries.  Exact payout percentages are as follows (final tables are now nine-handed):
