Wednesday, October 6th: First Weekly Leaderboard Results Official, With Jonathan Marcu Pacing The Field!!

ICYMI: Tuesday's $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) was the first ever installment of the event, and gave players a "final" chance to make movement on the Weekly Leaderboard.  With less than one point distancing first from second on the leaderboard, any results from players in the top five could mean shifts in power.  The tournament ended up attracting a total of (56) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $6,832.  The top nine players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing through the money bubble, and down to a three-handed final table.  The final three agreed to a deal, with Omar Sader taking home first place money ($1,650).  Lisa Teebagy and Jonathan Marcu rounded out the trio, with Marcu's result helping him take home first place in the inaugural Weekly Leaderboard.  Official results from the tournament are posted below, with an updated Weekly Leaderboard, and Player of the Month Leaderboard:

Tuesday, October 5th: "Final Table Finish" Ends In Eleven-Way Even Chop, Tournament Schedule Gets A New Addition!!!

ICYMI: The $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($10,000 GTD) is known for it's incredible structure and payouts, and now has another "claim to fame."  Last night's installment became the first to end in an eleven-way (even) chop.  It's difficult enough to get eleven people to all agree on the same thing, especially when it comes to money, and potential payouts from a poker tournament.  The event attracted a total of (179) entries, and had an official prize pool of $37,232.  The top nine places were scheduled to reach the money, but as the field approached the money bubble, those remaining agreed to an even deal.  Everyone walked away with $3,385 or $3,384, and 16.27 leaderboard points.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

Tournaments: Saturday's 6:00pm tournament is one of the most popular on the schedule, as it offers an incredibly affordable buy-in, that always sees some great returns.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) event has consistently crushing the posted guarantee, as the prize pool reaches five-figures on a weekly basis.  

The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 12,000 chips, and levels that last (20) minutes throughout the event.  Registration is open through Level 8, allowing for almost three hours of play, prior to the window closing for the night.  

Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

Friday, September 24th: Raminder Singh Is Very Much In Contention For WSOP Main Event Seat, But Omar Sader Holds Onto Top Spot!

ICYMI: Whenever you start tracking results in tournament poker (over a long-term period), the cream will usually rise to the top.  That's why it's no surprise, that the recent winners of the Player of the Month leaderboard, have been notables to the community.  With only a few events left in September, and a WSOP Main Event seat on the line, Raminder Singh is not going down without a fight.  Raminder took first place money in a heads-up chop, after besting an official field of (59) entries.  The $5,369 prize pool was scheduled to be spread across the top eleven spots, with action playing down to a heads-up final table.  Dider Bramy agreed to take just over $100 less than Raminder, with the official results listed below:

While the updated Player of the Month leaderboard won't be posted until tomorrow morning, we can tell you that Raminder's win helped him climb the rankings, but Omar Sader's third place finish helped keep him in the top spot!!!

Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)...the tournament that started this incredible tournament resurgence at the Isle Casino Pompano Park poker room.  The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000.  Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).

In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 10:00am-12:00pm time period.  If a player makes a straight flush in the 10:00am-10:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 10:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).
