Wednesday, March 22nd: Catlett Goes "Back-To-Back", "Spin To Win" Begins At Noon

ICYMI: There were two tournaments on the schedule yesterday, the first being the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD).  William Catlett (Lisbon, OH), who has made his name familiar to those following daily tournament results, won the event for the second week in a row.  The tournament, which had (38) entries and a $3,000 prize pool, did end in a four way deal...but it was Catlett's name on top of the results (earning $800).  Yesniel Pulido (Davie, FL) also took home $800 for his second place finish, along with Alfonso Perez (Coconut Creek, FL) for third ($800), and Robert Cavataio (Delray Beach, FL) rounding out the deal with $600 for fourth place.

The "Tuesday $10k," a $40 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD) tournament that always attracts huge fields, continued that trend last night.  A total of (338) entries joined in on the action, with the official prize pool having grown to $11,126.  A total of (36) spots got paid in the event, which ended in a twelve-way chop.  It's the second time in a week that we've seen one of these daily tournaments end in a deal that consisted of more than the final table.  Daniel Shortley (Lake Worth, FL) was the declared winner, taking home $1,545 for his "first place prize."  Maxton Habitzreuter (Pompano Beach, FL) also took home over four-figures for his "runnel-up" finish ($1,248), with Isle Poker notables Sahadeo Seenarraine (Tamarac, FL), Karen Rutherford (Meadville, PA), and Walter Swirsky (Delray Beach, FL) taking part in the chop as well.  Full results can be found listed in the "Week In Review" feature (posted next Monday), along with the "Daily Tournament Results" link on the righthand sidebar.

Promotions: The high hand promotions are in full swing from the moment the doors open this morning, with the "Turbo High Hands" ($100 awarded every 10 minutes from 9:00am-12:00pm, with rollovers) distributing money at a rapid pace.  The transition at 12:00pm begins the "Spin To Win" promotion, which awarded over $15,000 in promotional prize money last week (over a span of eleven hours).  It's the high hand promotion that makes all others jealous, and affords those that have a qualifying high hand (awarded every 30 minutes), an opportunity to spin the ever-popular "Money Wheel."  The total amount awarded...along with hourly breakdown, will be published tomorrow afternoon, here on the blog.

Tournaments: With much of the focus on the high hand promotions for the day, there is only one event on the tournament schedule.  At 6:00pm, the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo Bounty" ($5,000 GTD) gets underway, offering up 18,000 chip starting stacks, and (15) minute levels throughout the event.  The tournament is a "green chip bounty," meaning players are awarded $25 for every elimination they get over the course of the event.

Tuesday, March 21st: Jo Back On Top Again..."Monster Stack" And "Tuesday $10k" Headline Schedule

ICYMI: Yesterday's afternoon event, the $80 No Limit Hold'em w/ $10 Bounties ($2,000 GTD), officially ended with (39) total entries ($1,958 prize pool).  The were four spots getting paid in the tournament, with the final table action playing down to an outright winner.  Scott Jaffa (Wayne, NJ) earned his first ever Isle Casino Poker tournament win, taking home $800 for his efforts.  Jaffa bested Gerald Blum (Boca Raton, FL) during heads-up play, with Blum earning $590 for the runner-up finish.  Rounding out the top four were David Gray (Pompano Beach, FL) in third place ($333), and William Catlett (Lisbon, OH) in fourth place ($235).

The evening event, a $230 No Limit Hold'em w/ $100 Bounties, also played down to an outright winner.  With (29) total entries and a $2,900 prize pool (bounties are not included in official prize fund), it would be Adel Jo (Miami, FL) returning to the winner's circle ($1,450).  It's Jo's third tournament win here at the Isle Poker Room (recorded on Hendon Mob), as well as his fourth final table of the year.  Adel also won the $100 No Limit Hold'em DeepStack Turbo event last month during the Battles At The Beach (Event 13 - $1,583).  There were only three spots paid in the tournament, with Patrick Lacoste (Hallandale Beach, FL) the runner-up ($870), and Maury Halperin (Lauderdale By The Sea, FL) finishing in third place ($580).

Tournaments: There are two tournaments on the schedule today, including one that has become the most popular event with the players.  The "Tuesday 10k" affords players the opportunity earn an incredible return on investment, shelling out only $40 for the buy-in.  The tournament has consistently attracted over (350-400) total entries, and tonight should be no different.  Last week's installment of the tournament had (384) total entries, and ended in an eleven-way chop, one of the first times we've seen more than the final table agree to a deal.  The afternoon event is the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack," which carries with it a $3,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Promotions: Today's promotion was so popular amongst players, that those playing no limit hold'em became somewhat envious (and have now been given their own day for the same promotion).  The Limit Hold'em Early Bird Promotion kicks off the moments the poker room doors open (9:00am), and award those playing any limit game the opportunity to earn the "table minimum" for a full house.  Players in the 2/2 LH will earn $20 for each full house, with those in the 2/4 LH receiving $40 for their full houses.

Monday, March 20th: New Week, "Big Game Bounty Hunters" Eye Tonight's Event

ICYMI: There was one tournament on the "daily schedule" yesterday, a $150 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD), which got underway at 12:00pm.  The tournament drew a total of (72) entries, and officially ended up with a $10,000 prize pool.  There were nine spots getting paid, and after reaching the final table (and losing four players), the remaining six would end up agreeing to a deal.  Anthony Gonzalez (Orlando, FL) earned the second largest cash of his tournament career, receiving $1,986 for his "first place finish."  Also involved in the deal were Hosney Boutros ($1,581), Raymond Becker ($1,422), Curtis Dehart ($1,275), Jason Greenberg ($1,161), and Pedro Castro ($1,145).  The full results, along with hometowns and places, will be posted later this afternoon in the "Week In Review" feature.

Tournaments: This week's daily tournament schedule begins with two events today, the $80 No Limit Hold'em ($2,000 GTD) at 11:00am, followed by the largest buy-in tournament of the week.  At 6:00pm, the $230 No Limit Hold'em w/ $100 Bounties will be making it's "second run.".  This "Deep Stack Bounty" event sees players sitting down to starting stack of 15,000 units, and offers a structure with (20) minute levels (Levels 1-8), which transition to (25) minutes (Levels 9+).

Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hand promotion, the weeks gets a "quick" start with "Turbo High Hands," offering $100 every (10) minutes from the period of 9:00am-12:00pm.  Rollovers do apply with this promotion (with each game in the house eligible), so it's not uncommon to see a player pick up anywhere from $100-$500 during the promotion.

Sunday, March 19th: "Turbo High Hands," And A $10,000 Guarantee

ICYMI: Yesterday's afternoon event ($100 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo Bounty" $3,000 GTD) drew a crowd of (44) total entries, ending with an official prize pool of $3,693.  There were six spots getting paid in the event, and when the field reached that point, the players agreed to an even chop (well...as close to even as possible).  Alan Dobrow (Melville, NY) took home $433 for first place money, while the rest of the group earned $432 (Edgard Mendes, David Miller, John Sherman, Rahamim Ezra, and Curtis "Ace" Dehart).

Edgard Mendes (Deerfield Beach, FL) then pulled the "double" later in the evening, a feat that not many players have accomplished.  After essentially taking first place money in the tournament earlier in the day, Mendes was awarded first place money in an eight-way chop of the evening event ($120 No Limit Hold'em "New Monster Stack").  The event, which attracted a total of (117) entries, finished with prize pool of $9,945).  "Corona" (Edgard's nickname) ended up making another $1,514, in addition to his earlier cash from the afternoon.  The rest of the tournament's results and payouts will be posted tomorrow afternoon, in the "Week In Review" feature.

Saturday, March 18th: Whether It's "Turbo" Or "Deep," Today's Tournaments Have It All

ICYMI: There was one tournament on the schedule yesterday, the $150 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD), which began at 6:00pm.  The tournament attracted a total of (68) entries, with a prize pool of $10,000.  Seven places were getting paid, and once the money bubble burst, the players began discussing a deal.  The numbers worked for everyone involved, and a seven-way chop was agreed to, with Robert Tanner (Wellington, FL) receiving first place money ($2,500).  The cash brings Tanner's career earnings just short of $30,000 lifetime, and is his first cash at the Isle since winning Event 16 of 2017 Isle Poker Classic ($150 No Limit Hold'em - $14,202).  The rest of the players involved in the deal, along with the official results, will be posted in Monday's "Week In Review" feature.

Tournaments: Two tournaments are on today's schedule, totaling $11,000 in guaranteed prize money.  The first tournament, which begins at 11:00am, is a $100 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo" w/ $25 Bounties ($3,000 GTD).  That event is followed at 6:00pm by the "New Monster Stack," a $120 No Limit Hold'em tournament with an $8,000 guaranteed prize pool.  This tournament offers a "mid-major" feel, with a 25,000 chip starting stack, and (25) minute levels throughout.

Promotions: The high hand promotions take another "breather" today, between yesterday's (11) hours worth of "turbo" high hands, tomorrow's (7) hours of $300 high hands (awarded every 15 minutes).  The "standard high hand" procedure is in place, awarded prizes to qualifying high hands every (30) minutes (with rollovers).

ICYMI: Table Games Are Really Taking Off!!!

Players in the poker room may have noticed some loud, boisterous cheering recently, coming from just outside the rails...don't worry though, those are just winners from one of the three new table games!!! At the beginning of February, the Isle Casino Pompano Park saw the return of "3-Card Poker," along with the introduction of "Ultimate Texas Hold'em" and "One-Card Poker" (otherwise known at "Casino War").

"3-Card Poker "Makes Its Triumphant Return

Riding the wave of player interest across the country, Isle Casino Pompano Park now offer's "Florida's version" of Three-Card Poker.  The game is played against a "player banker," opposed to the "house," and offers the prospect of some pretty large payouts.  The gameplay is easy to learn, as players are dealt three cards, with the objective of the game to beat the dealer's hand.  The hand rankings are the same as tradition poker (pairs, three-of-a-kind, flushes, straights, straight-flushes, mini royal), with one small twist in the rankings (straights beat flushes in three-card poker).  For those looking for the rules to the game prior to playing, they can be found on a flyer in the poker room, on the actual table, or you can ask available staff for help.

One of the most appealing features of this game here at the Isle is the "minimum bet."  Players at the table can wager anywhere from $5 to $500, making the game affordable to most anyone. The $5 minimum wager is something that players won't find at many casinos, and allows those at the table to play at their own pace.  Three-card poker (one table) get's the cards in the air at 11:00am, and runs through the close of the casino.

Texas Hold'em Is Even Better When It's "Ultimate"

What's better than Texas Hold'em? Ultimate Texas Hold'em...a game that was introduced to casinos across the country years ago, and has really taken off in terms of popularity.  It's very similar to the Texas Hold'em that's played in the neighboring poker room, with those at the table getting two cards (including a "dealers" hand), along with a flop, turn, and river (five-card community board).  The object of the game is to beat the dealer's hand, with all of the "rules of the game" found on a flyer in the poker room, on the actual table, or you can ask available staff for help.

Friday, March 17th: High Hand Promotions Garner Today's Attention

ICYMI: Yesterday's afternoon event had an "intimate" field of (23) entries, all competing for their piece of the $2,000 prize pool.  Once play was four-handed, the remaining players agreed to a chop, with Ryan Baroff (Ft.Lauderdale, FL) the declared "winner," earning himself $630 for his share of the deal.  Charles MacClennan (Boca Raton, FL) took home $475 for second place, Gerald Bloom walked away with $342 for third place, and William Catlett (Lisbon, OH) rounded out the deal with $323 for fourth place.

The evening event ($60 No Limit Hold'em $12,000 GTD) was where the big numbers were, with a total of (265) entries getting involved in the action before the registration window closed.  One registration wrapped up, the players were vying for their piece of a $13,290 prize pool, with (27) spots getting paid.  A quick scan of the results would yield a lot of new names (to followers of the blog), and while we usually see this event make a deal once the final table is reached, action played down until four players remained.  Just like the afternoon tournament, the four players that were left agreed to a deal, with Charles Marik (Coconut Creek, FL) declared the "winner" taking home just one dollar more ($2,195) than the "second place" finisher, Felix Acevedo Beltre ($2,194). Both Nivaldo Gutierrez (Hialeah, FL) and Eric Goldstein (Boca Raton, FL) earned $2,000 for their third and fourth place finishes respectively.

Tournaments: There is one tournament on the schedule this evening, beginning at 6:00pm.  The $150 No Limit Hold'em has a $10,000 guarantee, and has surpassed that number each Friday more months.  It's the first of four events for the weekend, and is tied for the largest guarantee as well.

Promotions: With a one day "breather" on Thursday, the high hand promotions are back in full swing to start the weekend, beginning with the "Turbo High Hands."  From the moment the doors open at 9:00am, until 12:00pm, $100 will be awarded to the qualifying high hand every (10) minutes (with rollovers).

From 12:00pm-11:00pm yesterday, the "Spin To Win" high hand promotion was running, one of the most popular poker promotions you'll find in the state (as well as one of the richest).  The player with the "winning" high hand from each half hour is awarded an opportunity to spin the "money wheel," which sits located in the "stage area" of the poker room, closest to the cashier.  There are over (70) different slots on the wheel, all with different monetary amounts.  The "major" amounts that can be won are $1,000, $2,000, $3,000, and $5,000.  If (and only if) the high hand that qualifies is a royal flush, the $5,000 "Jackpot' slice is worth $25,000.  Posted below are all of the results from yesterday's promotion (along with the game the player was playing):

Thursday, March 16th: "March Madness" In...And Out Of The Poker Room

There are few sporting events that garner interest from the public like "March Madness," with the opening few days of the tournament full of dramatics.  There are (16) games both today and tomorrow, and you can be sure that each and every one will be broadcast across the numerous screens in the poker room.

ICYMI: With the "Spin To Win" promotion getting much of the day's focus, there was only one tournament on the schedule yesterday.  The $100 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo Bounty" had (67) total entries, and ended up with an official prize pool of $5,634 (bounties included).  There would be (7) spots paid in the event, with the event ending in a four-way chop.  Both David Padilla (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) and Carmine Napolitano (Waxhaw, NC) to home "first place billing," each earning themselves $878.  Thomas Tranfo (Greenwich, CT) took home $788 for third place money, and Justin Walker (Tamarac, FL) getting $726 for fourth.

Promotions: After an incredible day of wheel spins yesterday, and (15) hours of "special" high hand promotions coming up tomorrow, today is more of a "light day," in terms of high hand promotions.  From 9:00am-12:00am, the "standard" high hand promotion will be in place, awarding qualifying high hands every (30) minutes across that time period (rollovers are live).  The No Limit Hold'em Early Bird Promotion will run coinciding to start the day, as the first (50) full houses earn $60, with only those playing in a no limit cash game eligible.

ICYMI: The "Tuesday $10k" did not disappoint last night, attracting a total of (384) entries, which built a prize pool just over $13,000.  The posted first place prize on this $40 No Limit Hold'em event was $3,528, but the tournament never made it that far.  A total of (36) places would make the money, and once action reached the final table bubble (eleven players remaining), the group decided to make a deal.  Henry Behr (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) was the "declared winner," earning himself $1,469 for first place money.  Also part of the multi-way deal were Rob Hindman (2nd Place - $1,346), Roy Paulena (5th Place - $953), and Rick Kalgstein (10th Place - $687).  The tournament continues to be one of the more popular on the "daily schedule," with Thursday's installment ($60 No Limit Hold'em $12,000 GTD) a very close second.

Promotions: The high hand promotions are in full swing from the moment the doors open this morning, with the "Turbo High Hands" ($100 awarded every 10 minutes from 9:00am-12:00pm, with rollovers) distributing money at a rapid pace.  The transition at 12:00pm begins the "Spin To Win" promotion, which awarded $11,500 in promotional prize money last week (over a span of eleven hours).  It's the high hand promotion that makes all others jealous, and affords those that have a qualifying high hand (awarded every 30 minutes), an opportunity to spin the ever-popular "Money Wheel."  The total amount awarded...along with hourly breakdown, will be published tomorrow afternoon, here on the blog.

Tuesday, March 14th: "Tuesday $10k" Headlines Schedule

ICYMI: Yesterday's tournaments were on the "intimate" side in regards to field size, but there was still some solid prize money split amongst two deals made over the course of the day.  The afternoon event ($80 No Limit Hold'em $2,000 GTD) drew a total of (24) entries, with three spots being paid.  Once the money was reached, the trio of players remaining agreed to a deal, with George Lukawski (Parkland, FL) taking home $755 for first, Robert Tinsbloom (Delray Beach, FL) earning $513 for second, and Walter Swirsky (Delray Beach, FL) $491 for third.

Last night was the introduction of the $230 No Limit Hold'em "Deep Stack Bounty" ($100 Bounties) to the schedule, and it did not disappoint.  A total of (29) players made up the $2,900 prize pool, with once again, three spots being paid in the event.  After the elimination of Rafiki Brown (Pembroke Pines, FL) in third place ($580), David Richardson (Cape Coral, FL) and Adel Jo (Miami, FL) agreed to a heads-up chop.  With the chip counts about as close as can be, the two agreed on an even chop, with both players earning themselves $1,160.

Promotions: Today's promotion was so popular amongst players, that those playing no limit hold'em became somewhat envious (and have now been given their own day for the same promotion).  The Limit Hold'em Early Bird Promotion kicks off the moments the poker room doors open (9:00am), and award those playing any limit game the opportunity to earn the "table minimum" for a full house.  Players in the 2/2 LH will earn $20 for each full house, with those in the 2/4 LH receiving $40 for their full houses.

Tournaments: There are two tournaments on the schedule today, including one that has become the most popular event with the players.  The "Tuesday 10k" affords players the opportunity earn an incredible return on investment, shelling out only $40 for the buy-in.  The tournament has consistently attracted over (350-400) total entries, and tonight should be no different.  Last week's installment of this event was part of the Battles At The Beach, and actually saw players decide to bag chips for the first time in memory.  This tournament most always ends in a multi-way chop, so don't let the idea of bagging sway your interest, it was a once in a year occasion.

Monday, March 13th: New Week...New "Daily" Tournament Introduced

ICYMI: There was one tournament on sunday's schedule, the $150 No Limit Hold'em $10,000 GTD, which drew (88) total entries.  The official prize pool for the tournament was $10,120, with the final nine players reaching the money.  After five eliminations from the final table (four of which were awarded prize money), there was a deal struck between the remaining players.  The five-way chop saw Arnold Erenstoft (Coconut Creek, FL) declared the winner, earning himself $2,157.  The others involved in the agreement were Walter West ($1,737), Fred Allenspach ($1,662), John Reslow ($1,515), and Katherine Hoyle ($1,430).  The official results from the event will be posted in the "Week In Review" feature (to be published later today), and will also be found on the righthand sidebar (under "Daily Tournament Results").

Tournaments: This week's daily tournament schedule begins with two events today, the $80 No Limit Hold'em ($2,000 GTD) at 11:00am, followed by a new tournament to the room.  At 6:00pm, the $230 No Limit Hold'em w/ $100 Bounties will be introduced as a recurring event.  This "Deep Stack Bounty" event sees players sitting down to starting stack of 15,000 units, and offers a structure with (20) minute levels (Levels 1-8), which transition to (25) minutes (Levels 9+).  This has been a tournament that players have been requesting for a while now, so it should be an event that fits seamlessly into the Monday evening tournament slot.

ICYMI: Friday's schedule was heavily weighted towards the high hand promotions, but there was one tournament on the schedule.  A total of (73) entries entered the $150 No Limit Hold'em $10,000 GTD event, with eight place getting paid, and an official first place (posted) prize of $3,500.  After two eliminations at the final table, the remaining players were in the money, and an eight-way chop was agreed to.  Donald Day (Pembroke Pines, FL) was declared the winner, and earned himself just over $1,700.  While many of the names that made up the deal were new to followers of the blog, Isle Poker notable Zaki Lichaa (Pompano Beach, FL) took home seventh place money ($941).

Tournaments: There are two tournaments on the schedule today, including the return of the ever-popular "free roll," which has a $5,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The evening event (6:00pm) see the return of the "New Monster Stack," a $120 No Limit Hold'em tournament that offers (25) minute levels, and a starting stack of 25,000 ($8,000 GTD).

Promotions: It takes something big to overshadow a "free roll" and well structured tournament, but today's high hand promotion manages to do that.  While the "standard" high hands are in place for a portion of the day, there is a window from 1:00pm-10:00pm where qualifying high hands earn $2,000!  During the time period, the high hands will be awarded every (60) minutes, with all games in the room eligible for the monstrous giveaway.

Friday, March 10th: Getting The Weekend Started Off Strong

Yesterday's tournament results saw some notable names to the Isle Poker Room back on top, with two deals being made over the course of the day.  The afternoon event ($80 No Limit Hold'em $2,000 GTD) ended with a deal the moment players reached the money (five-way chop), with Joseph Mancuso (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) earning himself the "winner's share" ($523).

The evening tournament ($60 No Limit Hold'em $12,000 GTD) drew a total of (323) entries, and ended with an official prize pool well over $16,000.  A total of (36) players made the money in that event, with the top six making a deal that wrapped up the event.  This time, it would be Jean Chery (West Palm Beach, FL) declared the winner, adding $2,546 to his career live tournament earnings.  Other notables names that were part of the deal were Robert Flacco (Ambler, PA), Hari Sukhu (Miramar, FL), and Irwin Block (Coconut Creek, FL).

Tournaments: There is one tournament on the schedule this evening, beginning at 6:00pm.  The $150 No Limit Hold'em has a $10,000 guarantee, and has surpassed that number each Friday more months.  It's the first of four events for the weekend, and is tied for the largest guarantee as well.

Promotions: Friday's throughout the month of March have the same schedule in regards to the high hand promotions, with "Turbo High Hands" getting things started.  From the moment the doors open (at 9:00am), until 12:00pm, $100 will be awarded to the qualifying high hand every (10) minutes.  This is one of the more exciting high hands promotions that are run, as "rollovers" are available, and there are many times that players will be vying for a two...three...or even four time rollover (worth $500).  All games are eligible for this promotion.

The "Turbo High Hands" are followed by "High Hands Every 20 Minutes," with qualifying high hands worth $250 from 12:00pm-4:00pm, then transitioning to $500 from 4:00pm-12:00am.  Once again, rollovers are available, and every game in the room is eligible.

ICYMI: "Spin To Win" Money Wheel Results (3/8/17)

From 12:00pm-11:00pm yesterday, the "Spin To Win" high hand promotion was running, one of the most popular poker promotions you'll find in the state (as well as one of the richest).  The player with the "winning" high hand from each half hour is awarded an opportunity to spin the "money wheel," which sits located in the "stage area" of the poker room, closest to the cashier.  There are over (70) different slots on the wheel, all with different monetary amounts.  The "major" amounts that can be won are $1,000, $2,000, $3,000, and $5,000.  If (and only if) the high hand that qualifies is a royal flush, the $5,000 "Jackpot' slice is worth $25,000.  Posted below are all of the results from yesterday's promotion (along with the game the player was playing):

If you total all of those numbers up, that's $11,500 in high hand money awarded over the course of eleven hours yesterday!!  It should be mentioned that yesterday was one of the first Wednesdays in memory, that a jackpot winner ($5,000) was not awarded.  It was a good day to be a 2/5 NLH player yesterday, but that changes each and every week.  If there is ever a promotion that players should circle on their calendar, its Wednesday's "Spin To Win!"

Thursday, March 9th: Shuman Ships Final "Battles" Event, Full Schedule On Tap

Event 17 Winner Thelma Schuman (Boca Raton, FL)

Yesterday's "extension" of the 2017 Battles At The Beach saw (8) players return at 8:00pm to finish off the Event 17 ($40 No Limit Hold'em $10,000 GTD) final table.  With the amount of entries that the event attracted (421), the time would not allow for the final table to play out, with the players agreeing to return the following day (opposed to making a deal right there on the spot).  After just over (90) minutes, and five eliminations, the remaining three players began to talk a deal.  The numbers were agreed upon, with Thelma Schuman (Boca Raton, FL) declared the tournament's winner, earning herself $2,908.  That would be Thelma's second cash of the series (Event 9 - $100 No Limit Hold'em Deep Stack Turbo Bounty - 18th Place $180), and the largest tournament score of her career.  Also part of the three-way deal were Richard Bianchi ($2,258), and Daniel Shortly ($2,241).  Thelma's "winner's photo" would mean the end of the Battles At The Beach had been reached, one of the most successful series to date, and one that will not soon be forgotten.

The poker room transitioned to the "Daily Tournament Schedule" yesterday evening, with the $100 No Limit Hold'em  "Big Stack Turbo Bounty" ($5,000 GTD) getting underway at 6:00pm.  The tournament officially ended up with (54) entries, and concluded when heads-up play was reached, as Robert Lovett ($1,287) and Sergio Amato ($950) made a deal.

Tournament: The tournament schedule is back to two events today, with the afternoon tournament beginning at 11:00am ($80 No Limit Hold'em $2,000 GTD), and the evening event ($60 No Limit Hold'em $12,000 GTD) beginning at 6:00pm.  The evening event is very similar to the "Tuesday $10k," which has been attracting over (400) runners on a consistent basis.  Players should expect a prize pool above $15,000, and just a suggestion...arrive early.

Promotions:  Other than the "standard" high hand promotion that awards winner's every (30) minutes over the course of the day, the "No Limit Hold'em Early Bird Promotion" runs from 9:00-11:00am.  Players arriving during that window will be eligible to win $60 for each of the first (50) full houses made (no limit hold'em players only).

Wednesday, March 8th: Returning To "Regularly Scheduled Programming," Let's "Spin It To Win"

As Coach Lee Corso would say on ESPN's College Gameday..."Not so fast."  The 2017 Battles At The Beach was scheduled to end last night with Event 17 ($40 No Limit Hold'em $10,000 GTD), but opposed to making a deal prior to the poker room closing, the remaining (8) players decided to bag the chips up, and return this evening (8:00pm).  The chip counts (names) have not yet been made official, but when they are, a list will be posted here on the blog (including remaining payouts).

The afternoon event ($150 Omaha Hi/Lo 8B $5,000 GTD) drew a field of (56) total entries, as the "Omaha-lics" ended up with a prize pool of $6,720.  The tournament concluded when play reached four-handed, and those remaining agreed to a deal.  Joseph Haigh (Pompano Beach, FL) was the declared winner, taking home the trophy, along with the $1,832 first place prize.  Rounding out the players that were part of the deal were Errol Massey ($1,604), Barry Bindelglass ($1,138), and Gerald Blum ($1,134).

Tournament: The Isle Casino Poker Room now shifts back to the "Daily Tournament Schedule," with one tournament for players this evening (6:00pm), the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo" w/ $25 Bounties $5,000 GTD.  This has been one of the more popular daily tournament, being that it's the only one the schedule for the day.  One may ask why there is only one event on the Wednesday schedule....?

Promotion: ...Because Wednesday's are for the "Money Wheel," and the "Spin To Win" Promotion, affording qualifying players the opportunity to win up to $25,000.  From 12:00pm-11:00pm (every 30 minutes), the player with the qualifying high hand with spin the "Money Wheel," win over (70) different amounts of money to win.  The "jackpot" amount is normally $5,000, but if a player's qualifying hand is a "Royal Flush," the jackpot shifts to $25,000.  The have been big money winners each and every week of this promotion, so if there was ever a day to come in and play cash...this is it.

When the 2017 Battles At The Beach $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event reached it's final table, it really was a "who's who" of tournament poker.  With the exceptions of David Bradshaw and Josias Santos (who both have over $200,000 in live tournament earnings), every player at the final table had over $500,000 in earnings.  There were three players coming off of major title wins (Michael Graffeo, Josias Santos, Darryl Fish), and others who had older major titles in their pocket.  The actual poker play at the final table was world class, with a recap of Day 3 (and the final table) to follow later today.  After close to six hours of play at the final table, only three players remained (Darryl Fish, Joseph Couden, and Uri Kadosh).  During the break between Level 30 and 31, the players began discussing a deal, and when they returned to the table, an agreement was made.  Uri Kadosh (Davie, FL) was declared the winner, and earned the largest payday of his very decorated career ($120,035).  It was Kadosh's sixth win of his career, and second "major" title.  As part of the three way deal, Joseph Couden earned $120,000, and Darryl Fish $98,000.

After close to a month, the 2017 "Battles At The Beach" comes to a close today, with a pair of events on the schedule.  The first begins at 11:00am, a $150 Omaha Hi/Lo 8B event, giving the non-no limit hold'em players one last chance for glory.  The evening event is the "Battles" version of the "Tuesday $10k." getting started just after 6:00pm.
