ICYMI: Monday's tournament schedule hosted one event, which started later in the day (6:00pm).  The $120 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) attracted a field of (36) entries, and boasted an official prize pool of $3,060.  Once the payouts were posted, players learned that nine spots would get paid, with first place schedule to take home $1,254.  Action continued after the money was reached, but eventually paused when five players remained.  A deal was then agreed to, with Daniel Gonzalez Jr. (Coral Springs, FL) declared the tournament's winner, taking home $662 for his first place share.

ICYMI: Saturday's tournament action kicked off with the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Deepstack Turbo Bounty," which had a $3,000 guaranteed prize pool.  A total of (41) entries made up the field, with the official prize pool closing at $3,352 (bounties included).  Once the payouts were posted, players would learn that six spots were scheduled to get paid, with first place set to take home $907.  Things players out a little differently yesterday afternoon, as the tournament played down to an outright winner.  Paul Price (Weston, FL) bested Joseph Zelnick (Jupiter, FL) during heads-up play, recording his second largest tournament cash, and first tournament win.

ICYMI: Friday's tournament action began with the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) which got underway at 11:00am.  The event would end up attracted a total of (25) entries, and saw the prize pool fall directly on the $3,000 number.  Four spots were scheduled to get paid, and once the money bubble burst, the players remaining agreed to a deal.  Marc Wolfe (Miami, FL) would be the tournament's declared winner ($842), with the full results of the chop listed below.

ICYMI: One of the things that became evident during the 2017 Isle Classic (although it was really not much of a surprise), is that players really enjoy the mixed event tournaments.  There were two non-no limit hold'em events during the series, both of which did very well in terms of attendance.  As the tournament schedule transitioned from the Isle Classic to the recurring (yesterday), the first event back was a mixed tournament ($130 Omaha 8B/Stud 8B Hi/Lo $2,000 GTD).  The tournament soared past the guarantee, as (33) entries made up the field.  The official prize pool closed at $3,300, and would see five spots getting paid out.  The scheduled payouts would eventually be altered, as a three-way deal was agreed to, headed by Isle Poker notables Avi Levy (Coral Springs, FL).

Thursday, December 21st: Saying Goodbye To The Isle Classic, Back To The Regularly Scheduled Programming

ICYMI: The final day of the Isle Classic started with Day 2 of Event #19 ($100 No Limit Hold'em $50,000 GTD), as (96) players returned to try and grab a piece of the $58,960 prize pool.  The field was in the money after two hours of play, and was on the final table bubble just two hours after that.  When play was twelve-handed, players agreed to look at the numbers for an ICM chop, but not deal was made.  Play continued on until the the final table was reached, at which point the discussions of a chop started back up.  The second look at the numbers sounded better to the players that remained, as they would agree to a final table chop.  Eric Sabido (Margate, FL) would become the tournament's declared winner, recording his first tournament win, and earning the second largest cash of his career ($6,055).

Wednesday, December 20th: Event #19 Players Return For Day 2, Wrapping Up The 2017 Isle Classic

ICYMI: Yesterday's Isle Classic schedule hosted the final pair of starting flights for Event $#19 ($100 No Limit Hold'em $50,000 GTD), with numbers that ended up crushing the posted guarantee.  Flight 1D got underway at 11:00am, and after eight levels of open registration, the official number would close at (175) entries.  Once the bagging process was reached, as total of (24) players would remain, led by John Sheirich (Daytona, FL) with 208,500.  Sean Shah (199,500), Steven Bennett (173,500), Guillermo Irving (113,500), and Lisa Teebagy (91,000) were just some of the notables to also book their tickets to Day 2 from the flight.

Flight 1E closed out the starting flight action at 6:00pm, and ended up attracting a field of (177) entries.  A total of (25) players reached the bagging process, with Eric Sabido (Margate, FL) bagging the flight's chip lead (242,000).  Other notables chip stacks from the flight include that of John Malczan (208,500), Calixto Rodriguez (159,500), Nancy Birnbaum (90,000), and John Magnetta (65,500).

Tuesday, December 19th: Final Pair Of Opening Event #19 Flights Headline Isle Classic Schedule

ICYMI: After Sunday evening's opening flight of Event #19 ($100 No Limit Hold'em $50,000 GTD), yesterday's Isle Classic schedule hosted two more flights, for players to try and bag chips for tomorrow's Day 2.  Flight 1B started at 11:00am, and after eight levels of registration, the flight would officially close with (119) entries.  Eight more completed levels would see the bagging process begin, with (18) players bagging up chips.  The group was led by Kareem Bernardo (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), who packed up 220,300 for Day 2.  Some other notables to bag from Flight 1B included Paula Holder (193,500), Pedro Palacio (139,500), Zaki Lichaa (94,000), and Daniel Genachte (83,000).

The evening flight (Flight 1C) began at 6:00pm, and ended up attracted the largest field of the three starting flights to have been played.  There was a total of (183) entries, with (20) players successfully reaching the bagging process.  Ilan Hadida (Boca Raton, FL) bagged up the flight's chip lead, heading to Day 2 with 273,000.  Francis Margaglione (Davie, FL) bagged the second largest stack (269,000), and was joined by Steve Zukowski (216,500), Barry Chazen (134,000), Robert Transue (130,000), and Yigal Hen (83,000).

Tournaments: The final pair of Event #19 flights are on today's Isle Classic schedule, the first of  which begins at 11:00am (Flight 1D), followed by Flight 1E at 6:00pm.  The tournament is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (20) minutes over the course of the event.  Registration for each flight is open until the end of Level 8 (and the break that follows), with action scheduled to play a full sixteen levels (or until 10% of the field remains, whichever comes first).  Players that remain will then bag chips for Wednesday's Day 2 (12:00pm).

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

Monday, December 18th: Recapping Event #18, Already One Flight Into Event #19

ICYMI: Yesterday's Isle Classic schedule was headlined by Day 2 of Event #18 ($175 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD), as (132) players returned to play down to a winner.  The trend for the day was "speed," as the action was fast and furious on the path towards reaching the final table.  It took just under seven hour for the final table to be reached, at which point we saw variance rear it's head.

The chip average at the final table was under twenty big blinds, but the table went on ten handed for almost thirty minutes.  Miriam MacWilliam (Jupiter, FL) was the first player all-in and at risk, holding J♦ J♠ against the A♥ Q♥ of Al Gomez.  The J♥ 4♠ 2♣ flop seemed like a great one for Miriam to double up, but the turn and river brought running hearts (without pairing the board), sending MacWilliams to the rail in tenth place ($1,885).  Roger Padilla (Daytona Beach, FL) held less than two big blinds after that hand, and would be the next to depart the final table, walking away in ninth place ($2,275).  Bret Grebow (Delray Beach, FL) met a similar fate, unable to find a spot to double his short stack, and ended up exiting in eight place ($3,030).  Players then discussed an ICM chop, but the numbers were not sufficient for some, so the play continued on.  Just a few hands after the deal making fell apart, Paulo Castro (Delray Beach, FL) was all-in with A♦ K♦, against the A♣ K♣ of Pedro Palacio.  The 10♣ 7♣ 3♦ flop got everyone's attention, as Palacio was free-rolling to the flush, which he would make right on the turn.  Castro couldn't believe the outcome, as he spent the next ten minutes pacing the tournament area, while discussions of a chop began once again.  This time the players came to a quick agreement, with Al Gomez (the chip leader at the time), declared the tournament's winner.  Listed below are the details of the deal:

While the final table was finishing up, the action was starting for Event #19 of the Isle Classic, a $100 No Limit Hold'em tournament with a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool.  Flight 1A attracted a total of (83) entries, with (10) players reaching the bagging process.  Base M. Karbourani was the flight's chip leader, putting 389,000 in the bag for Wednesday's Day 2.  The action continues today, with a pair of opening flights for the event.

Tournaments: There are two opening flights for Event #19 on today's Isle Classic schedule, the first of  which begins at 11:00am (Flight 1B), followed by Flight 1C at 6:00pm.  The tournament is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (20) minutes over the course of the event.  Registration for each flight is open until the end of Level 8 (and the break that follows), with action scheduled to play a full sixteen levels (or until 10% of the field remains, whichever comes first).  Players that remain will then bag chips for Wednesday's Day 2 (12:00pm).

Al Gomez (Miami, FL) adds to his tournament resume, which was already over $200,000 before this first place finish.  Gomez used a critical hand against Miriam Macwilliams to grab the chip lead, and eventually earn the largest share of a six-way deal.

The ICM negotiations failed after the elimination of Bret Grebow, but once players witnessed how quickly things can change (Paulo Castro's elimination), the six players remaining agreed on the  numbers pretty quickly.  Listed below are the official numbers for the chop that ended Event #18 of the 2017 Isle Classic:
