ICYMI: Yesterday's tournament schedule began at 11:00am, with the third $90 No Limit Hold'em Satellite Into CPPT Event #1 ($360 NLH $200,000 GTD) of the week.  The results from the satellite will be posted shortly after the poker room opens.

The evening time slot hosted the second starting flight of the $175 No Limit Hold'em "Night Owl" ($50,000 GTD), an event which is very likely to crush the guarantee.  Last night's Flight 1B saw registration close with (79) entries, of which (8) players would end up bagging chips for Monday's Day 2 (6:00pm).  Cathie Rankin packed away the largest stack from the flight (397,500), which also happens to be the top overall Day 2 number (at the moment).  The full list of players to bag from Flight 1B is listed below:

ICYMI: Tuesday's tournament schedule began with a satellite into Event #1 of the upcoming Card Player Poker Tour ($360 No Limit Hold'em $200,000 GTD).  The $90 No Limit Hold'em satellite attracted a total of (15) entries, and ended up awarded the (5) guaranteed seats that were posted.  Listed below, are the five players to win seats into the series' opening event:

The evening tournament is the month's first "headlining" single-day event, with the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($25,000 GTD) getting underway at 6:00pm.  The tournament attracted some incredible numbers last month, and should likely do the same tonight.  Players in the event will be sitting down to starting stacks of 20,000 units, with levels in the event lasting (20) minutes over the course of the evening.  Registration is open through Level 10, allowing a little extra time than would normally be, in an evening event such as this.

Monday, August 6th: "CPPT Warmup" Ends In Seven-Way Deal, It's Time For "Satellite Monday"

ICYMI: Who else but John Magnetta (Boynton Beach, FL)? Whether it's a $1,500 buy-in, or a $100 buy-in, Magnetta has proven that he is seasoned against many different fields.  Yesterday afternoon, a total of (61) players returned for Day 2 of the "CPPT Warmup," which was a $100 No Limit Hold'em ($30,000 GTD) event.  The trend of the day was speed, as players reached the money within minutes of play resuming (55 players got paid).  From that point on, the pace of play continued to be fast and furious, with the final table reached in less than five hours.  After the elimination of three players at the final table, the remaining seven players would agree to a deal, with John Magnetta awarded first place.  The results of the chop are posted below, with official (and full) results found by clicking here:

Just after the "CPPT Warmup" ended, the second event of the day got underway, a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Turbo Bounty" ($5,000 GTD).  The numbers were very strong for the event, as a total of (51) entries showed on the clock at registration's end.  The clock also showed that seven players were scheduled to reach the money, with first place to take home $1,471.  Some of those numbers were altered though, as the event ended in a five-way deal.  After a year's hiatus from the game, John Palace (Jupiter, FL) returned in a big way, topping the chop with an $857 win.  Full results from the tournament are listed below:
