Friday, November 23rd: The $200 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) Starts Off Strong, With Two More Flights On Today's Schedule

ICYMI: Thursday was not only about Thanksgiving (and family), but also the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD).  The "holiday weekend" multi completed it's first flight (Flight 1A), with (43) entries making up the field, of which (5) players bagged chips for Sunday's Day 2.  Bruno Fortin bagged the Flight 1A chip lead, and has now set the pace for the rest of the players to follow, packing away 327,500.  The official chip counts from Flight 1A are posted below:

Tournaments: Today's tournament schedule is focused around the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD).  There are two more starting flights for players to choose from, with Flight 1B getting underway at 11:00am, followed by Flight 1C at 6:00pm.  Each of the starting flights are structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, (30) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  Those players that successfully bag chips from the flights, will be returning on Sunday (at 12:00pm) for Day 2.

 At 2:00pm this afternoon, there is a $55 No Limit Hold'em Satellite into the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD).  The satellite is structured with starting stacks of 10,000 units, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.


Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-9:00am (Friday into Saturday), the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.

Thursday, November 22nd: Happy Thanksgiving To All!!!!! After "Turkey-Time," Poker Action Returns In A Big Way

ICYMI: Yesterday's tournament schedule started at 11:00am, with a $30 No Limit Hold'em Satellite into the "1st Annual Thanksgiving Classic." The numbers from the satellite were something nobody could have anticipated, as (53) entries made up the field at registration's close. which meant six players would walk away with a seat into the tournament at 3:00pm (with one player earning cash).  The results from the satellite are listed below:

At 6:00pm, the opening flight of the $200 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD) begins.  Flight 1A of the event is structured with 20,000 unit starting stacks, (30) minute levels, and registration open through Level 8.  Those players that are able to reach the end of the flight, will bag their chips for Day 2, which sees play resume at 12:00pm on Sunday.

Wednesday, November 21st: Day's Schedule Headlined By "1st Annual Thanksgiving Classic" ($175 No Limit Hold'em $15,000 GTD @ 3:00PM)

ICYMI: Tuesday's tournament schedule began with the $150 Limit Omaha 8B Hi/Lo, which carried a $3,000 guaranteed prize pool.  After a last second surge to the cage, prior to registration's close, the field would close with (27) entries.  The official prize pool of $3,024 was scheduled to get paid out across four spots, and after one elimination (in the money), the final three players agreed to a deal. Gerald Hertz (Pompano Beach, FL) took home for place money in the deal, with official details of the event listed below:

Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hands, the poker room opens with the "new" Full House Promotion.  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $40 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $40.  In order to be eligible, the full  house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

ICYMI: Monday's tournament schedule began at 11:00am, with the $150 No Limit Hold'em ($8,000 GTD), an event that's clearly gaining steam.  Yesterday's installment saw the tournament's prize pool eclipse $10,000 for the first time, after the field closed with (87) entries.  From that number, eleven players would reach the money, with action playing down to three-handed play.  At that point, a deal was made, with Paul Darpino (Binghamton, NY) earning first place money ($2,360).  Official results from the event are listed below:
