Thursday, October 17th: The Isle Open Main Event ($300,000 GTD) Is Here, With Day 1A Beginning At 12:00PM

ICYMI: The results from yesterday's pair of Event #6 ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event) satellites, will be posted shortly after the poker room opens.  Followers of the blog can check back, and see all of the players that were awarded seats over the course of yesterday's action.

Tournaments: After two weeks of Isle Open action, the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event ($300,000 GTD) is upon us, with the tournament beginning at 12:00pm this afternoon.  The Main Event has three starting days, with Day 2 on Sunday, and Day 3 on Monday.  As mentioned, Day 1A gets underway at 12:00pm, and is structured with 40,000 unit starting stacks, (50) minute levels, and registration open until the beginning of Level 12.  Each starting day is scheduled to conclude after Level 10, meaning players can enter the tournament for two full levels on Day 2.  On Day 2, the level length will transition to (60) minutes.

For those looking to enter the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event, but for a fraction of the price, there are two satellites on today's schedule.  There is a $340 No Limit Hold'em Turbo Satellite at 10:00am (which guarantees one seat), and a $340 No Limit Hold'em Satellite at 6:00pm (which guarantees one seat as well).

Promotions: Things begin with the "Full House Promo," which will open the doors on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in October).  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The "standard" high hands will be awarding $300 every (30) minutes (from 9:00am-12:00am).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded to those that use one card to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, high hands are worth $100.
From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.

ICYMI: Three-Card Poker And Ultimate Texas Hold'em Return (Player Banked), Great Action Available All Day!!!!

After a short hiatus, Three-Card Poker And Ultimate Texas Hold'em have returned to the Isle Casino
Pompano Park.  Located just outside the rails of the Poker Room floor, these player banked games offer a non-smoking atmosphere, and some of the most affordable limits in South Florida (both games run with $5 minimum bets)!!!  These tables open with the Poker Room (9:00am), and usually get the cards in the air shortly thereafter.

Wednesday, October 16th: Baumstein And Nomberg Grab Tuesday's Trophies, As We Prepare For The Isle Open Main Event (With Two Mega-Satellites)!!!

ICYMI: Tuesday's Isle Open schedule kicked off at 1:00pm, with Event #4 of the series, a $2,500 No Limit Hold'em "High Roller."  Registration for the tournament would close after nine levels of play, officially attracting a total of (26) entries.  Four places would earn their respective share of the $59,800 prize pool.  After two in-the-money eliminations, a heads-up deal would be struck, making Scott Baumstein (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) the trophy winner (and giving him $22,447).  Official results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Scott Baumstein (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $22,447
  2. Jerry Wong (Davie, FL) $20,609
  3. Richard Kirsch (Davie, FL) $10,166
  4. Lawrence Mage (Fort Pierce, FL) $6,578
As the "High Roller" was playing towards the money, Event #5 of the Isle Open began (at 6:00pm), with players coming out strong for the $130 No Limit Hold'em event ($15,000 GTD).  Registration closed with (204) entries in the field, and an official prize pool of $20,400.  A total of (26) players made the money, with action playing down to the point where the final table was five-handed.  The remaining handful then agreed to a deal, with the official (final table) results listed below:
  1. Erik Nomberg (Boca Raton, FL) $2,976
  2. Conner Miller (San Jose, CA) $2,868
  3. David Inselberg (Boca Raton, FL) $2,432
  4. Bruce Cline (Deerfield Beach, FL) $2,300
  5. Ido Ashkenazi (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $2,268
  6. Pantelis Hatzkontos (Boca Raton, FL) $814
  7. Anthony DiMichelle (Pompano Beach, FL) $694
  8. Elias Nassif (Davie, FL) $598
  9. Carl Pipitone (Jupiter, FL) $502
  10. Scott Levitt (Delray Beach, FL) $437
Tournaments: With the 2019 Isle Open Main Event beginning tomorrow, today is "satellite day," with two $340 No Limit Hold'em Mega-Satellites on the schedule.  The first mega begins at 11:00am, and guarantees (10) seats into the Main Event.  Of all the satellites that are run during the series, this is by far the most popular, and should end up awarding more seats than the guarantee.

The evening mega, which begins at 6:00pm, guarantees (3) seats into the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event.  While the guaranteed seats may be lower in the evening, that does not mean the field size will be.  Players are very interested in entering the Isle Open Main Event, and these satellites are some of the best value around!!!!

Promotions: The "standard" high hands will be awarding $300 every (30) minutes (from 9:00am-6:00pm).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded to those that use one card to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, high hands are worth $100.

At 6:00pm, the high hands get a little "October boost," as they transition to $500 every (30) minutes.  Players that make the high hand with one card during that period, will be awarded a $250 prize.

From 12:00am-9:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.

11:00am: 2019 Isle Open | $340 No Limit Hold'em Mega-Satellite Into Event #6 ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event $300,000 GTD) 10 Seats GTD

Tuesday, October 15th: Lisa Teebagy Tops Nine-Way Chop Of Event #3, With Isle Open "High Roller" Taking Center Stage

ICYMI: Yesterday's Isle Open schedule was headlined by Day 2 of Event #3 ($130 No Limit Hold'em $50,000 GTD), which got underway at 12:00pm.  Action was fairly swift, as the money was reached less than two hours into play.  The final table re-draw happened shortly after 7:00pm, and after one elimination, players began discussing a deal.  A nine-way chop was eventually agreed to, with Lisa Teebagy taking home first place money ($6,171).  The results from the final table are listed below, with full results from the event to be posted shortly:
  1. Lisa Teebagy (Lighthouse Point, FL) $6,171

Tournaments: Today's action begins at 11:00am, with another $90 No Limit Hold'em Step-Satellite, into tomorrow's $340 No Limit Hold'em Isle Open $1,500 Main Event Mega-Satellite.  Just like last night's step-satellite, there will be (3) seats guaranteed into the mega-satellite.

At 1:00pm, the cards will get in the air for Event #4 of the Isle Open, which is a $2,500 No Limit Hold'em "High Roller."  The tournament is structured with 100,000 unit starting stacks, (40) minute levels, and registration through Level 9.  This tournament is scheduled to be a one-day event, and has never gone past that point, in the event's illustrious history.

The final tournament on the day's schedule is Event #5 of the Isle Open, a $130 No Limit Hold'em ($15,000 GTD) event.  The tournament is structured with 50,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8.  This particular event does very well during these major series, and should eclipse the posted guarantee with ease.

Promotions:  The "standard" high hand period will be awarding $300 every (30) minutes (from 9:00am-12:00am).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with $150 being rewarded to those that use one card to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, high hands are worth $100.
