Isaiah Goldman (Princeton, NJ) 2nd Place - $97,511

There was a quick discussion of a possible deal when heads-up play started, but once the players heard the numbers, they decided to play on.  Only three hands into heads-up play, Isaiah Goldman (Princeton, NJ) would be all-in and at risk.  After Goldman raised the button and Novak defended, the two would see the dealer fan out a flop of 6♠ 4♠ A♣.  Novak checked, and watched as Goldman put together a bet of 250,000.  Edward would then check raise to 700,000, to which Goldman snap shoved all-in...Novak quickly called:

Flop: 6♠ 4♠ A♣

Goldman: A 8
Novak: 6 4

Turn: J♣
River: Q

Goldman felt great about his hand until the cards were tabled, and he saw that he would need help on the turn or river to double up and stay alive.  The saying is "always the bridesmaid, but never the bride," but we're sure that the second $98,000 score for runner-up (finished second to Panzica in this year's FSPC Main Event) will help ease the disappointment.  Goldman congratulates Novak before walking away from the table, and does so with a big smile on his face.  We have now crowned our 2016 Isle Poker Open Main Event champion, Edward Novak!!
