Matt Wolfson (Delray Beach, FL) had been treading water for most of this opening flight, but he just tripled up to grab new life. We caught up to the action just as Wolfson and an unknown player were calling a 3,000 three-bet from the button. The three players would watch as the dealer fanned out a flop of K♦ 3♣ 9♦, with Wolfson announcing himself all-in (first to act). The all-in amount of 11,800 was called by Player X, and with action to Player Y, he would also announce himself all-in (having both players covered). The call was made, and we would see the three hands exposed, with two players at risk:
Flop: K♦ 3♣ 9♦
Wolfson: K♠ J♣
Player X: K♣ 10♠
Player Y: A♦ 10♦
Turn: J♥
River: J♠
While the turn gave Wolfson two pair, it also brought more outs to both of his opponents. The river would bring another jack though, giving Wolfson a full house, and securing the triple up. Matt now has over 55,000, and is focused on finding a bag.
