Event 10 (Flight 1G): Tight Race, But Flight 1 "G" Stands For Green

Event 10 ($60 No Limit Hold'em $50,000 Guarantee)
Level 18 (Blinds 4,000/8,000/1,000)
Total Flight 1G Entries: 170

Total Event 10 Entries: 946
Flight 1G Players Remaining: 25

Vince Green (Boynton Beach, FL)

Things were getting pretty close as the final hands were being dealt at Table 1, where the two largest stacks sat only seats away from each other.  Nachum Lumelski (Pembroke Pines, FL) got his stack up to 220,000, which was just behind Green, but Vince won a nice sized pot before play concluded.  That allowed him fold the final two hands, hoping the Lumeski didn't get involved in any pot worth noting.  That's how things played out, and Green would bag the Flight 1G chip lead with 285,000.

The tournament staff will verify all of the numbers in relation to the counts that remain, and we will then post the official flight chips counts.  That will once again conclude our "live coverage" for the day, but you can look forward to sporadic posts over the course of the evening, including official counts from each flight.

Day 2 coverage will begin the moment the cards are in the air tomorrow (12:00pm), and will continue until we have crowned an Event 10 winner (or winners).
