Asher Conniff (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) had been playing a below average stack for most of Day 2, and although he began to find some traction, two key hands would send him to the rail in 36th place.  After chipping up to just over 400,000 (and basically peaking for the day), Conniff got it in blind v. blind against James Wang, with Wang at risk for his 100,000 stack (5 big blinds).  Conniff's J♦ 2♦ < 7♥ 7♠ of Wang on the 6♦ 7♦ 8♥ 9♦ 9♥ runout, leaving Asher with just under 300,000.  He would shove for 283,000 over Steve Bennett's open a few moments later, and after being called, his A♠ 9♣ < A♥ J♥ of Bennett (3♠ 3♣ 7♠ Q♥ 5♥ runout).  The former WPT World Champion would collect $1,494 for his 36th place finish.
