When are group of people are surrounding a table four minutes into break, it's usually a sign that something is unfolding. The hand just finished by the time the table was approached, but the players continued to talk about it as they headed to break. Aaron Friedman was holding A♥ A♠ on a flop of A♣ 3♥ 4♠, with three other players deciding to get their chips all-in at that moment. Friedman has all but one opponent covered (Hosney Boutros), but seemed in line to scoop a large pot. Aaron was up against 5♠ 5♥ and 2♠ 3♣, so he needed to fade certain wheel cards in order for his hand to hold.
The turn and river both bricked Aaron's opponents, and he'd be awarded the pot, worth over 50,000 (135bb). Aaron is coming off of a tournament win at Borgata (in June), shipping the $150 No Limit Hold'em event during their Borgata Deepstack Challenge. The $4,314 Friedman earned for first place was the largest score of his tournament career, bringing his total earnings to $10,000.
