"August $100,000" (Flight 1E): Big Numbers Expected This Weekend, A "Day Off" From Live Blogged Coverage

"August $100,000 GTD"
$150 No Limit Hold'em (Re-Entry)
Level 1 (Blinds 25/50)
Total Flight 1E Entries: N/A

The "second half" of the "August $100,000" opening flights began just moments ago, as cards got in the air for Flight 1E.  Over the course of the first four flights for the "August $100,000," there have been a total of (416) entries, with (58) players successfully managing to get chips in a bag.  The combined prize pool for the four flights sits at $47,840, which is just under half the way to the guarantee, but some large field sizes are expected for the weekend.

The chip average for the (58) players that are currently heading to Day 2 is 130,000, and with action resuming at the beginning of Level 16 on Sunday, that means an average stack will return with just over (30) big blinds.  The top five stacks after four flights belong to:

Matthew Ehrlich - 296,000
Alberto Niebla - 281,000
Daniel Restrepo - 273,000
Vitaly Shafran - 271,000
Marc Bronstein - 254,500

"Live blogged coverage" of Flight 1E will be on a "day off" this afternoon, but you can look forward to "live look-ins" over the course of the day.  A full list of combined chip counts will be posted shortly, followed by a glance at some of the notables in today's afternoon flight.
