Isle Open Event 1 (Flight 1A): Richard Wetter Favorite To Bag The Bonus, One Level Remains

2017 Isle Open | Event #1
$175 No Limit Hold'em | $100,000 GTD
Level 15 (Blinds 1,500/3,000/500)
Total Flight 1A Entries: 113
Flight 1A Players Remaining: 25

Richard Wetter (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) currently paces the field as the round the homestretch.

Play is just a few moments away from entering the last level of the flight, meaning players are in the "homestretch," in regards to the flight's chip lead bonus (an Event #15 seat).  Richard Wetter (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) is currently leading the field, sitting as the only player over the 200,000 mark (220,000).  Wetter is better known for his two WSOP Circuit rings, both won in Seniors events at the Palm Beach Kennel Club (2013 and 2016).  He has over $50,000 in tournament earnings, but hasn't notched an Isle Poker tournament cash since March of 2015 (Battle At The Beach).

There are a handful of players within striking distance of Richard, so the landscape can change with every hand that passes.  When ten minutes remain in Level 16, the tournament clock will be paused, and players will finish with a pre-determined amount of hands (which will be updated later, as the number has yet to have been announced).

The next update on the blog will come at the conclusion of the final set of hands, as we update you on the recipient of the chip lead bonus.  Just as the flight is entering the bagging process, the cards will be getting in the air for Flight 1B, which begins at 6:00pm.  There will not be live blogged coverage during the evening flight's of this event, but end of flight chip counts will be posted at it's conclusion (just after 2:00am).
