Monday, October 23rd: Unfinished Event #15 Business, Big Guarantees Headline Isle Open Schedule

ICYMI: Thirteen hours of Day 2 action was not enough time to decide an Event #15 winner, as the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD) tournament sees four players returning at 1:00pm to finish things off.  There are numerous storylines still in play, as the event still has a player that bought in on Day 2 (Noel Atherley)...an online legend and WSOP bracelet winner that has over $2,599,000 in career live tournament earnings (Brian Hastings)...a "young gun" WSOP Circuit grinder looking for a first major title (Justin Harvell)...and a South Florida tournament veteran with (69) career results and $171,000 without a tournament win (Sheldon Gross).  Listed below are the chip counts (by seating assignment) and payout reminder, with live coverage of Day 3 action picking up the moment the cards are in the air.

  1. Noel Atherley - 1,251,000
  2. Brian Hastings - 960,000
  3. Justin Harvell - 791,000
  4. Sheldon Gross - 611,000
Remaining Payouts:
  1. $44,916
  2. $30,128
  3. $17,774
  4. $10,811
There was also more Isle Open action yesterday, as Event #16 got the cards in the air at 2:00pm.  The $350 No Limit Hold'em event attracted a mix of Day 2 players from Event #15 that wanted a "second chance," and new names that were waiting for a lower price-point event to return (35 total entries and a prize poll of $10,500).  Scott "Joseph" Levitt (Delray Beach, FL) truly used the tournament as a second chance, turning a tough exit in Event #15, into an Event #16 win (heading a five-way chop).
  1. Scott Levitt (Delray Beach, FL) $2,414
  2. Elliot Zaydman (Coconut Creek, FL) $2,236
  3. Joseph Duchman (Miami, FL) $2,014
  4. Jose Clemente (Key West, FL) $1,919
  5. Steven Pollack (Sunrise, FL) $1,917
Tournaments: The 2017 Isle Open schedule continues with two one-day tournaments today, beginning with the Event #17 | $175 No Limit Hold'em "Structure Beast" ($15,000 GTD) at 11:00am.    Players in the event have the opportunity to play a "major structured" tournament, sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000 units, and playing levels that last (30) minutes.  Registration is open until the end of Level 10, which is just before 4:30pm.

That tournament is followed at 6:00pm by Event #18, a $150 No Limit Hold'em tournament with a $25,000 guarantee.  This is a similar tournament to the one that runs on Monday during the "recurring tournament schedule," but attracts even larger fields during any of the major series over the course of the year.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 16,000 units, levels that last (20) minutes, and registration that is open until the end of Level 8.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-3:00am (Friday morning), players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.
