ICYMI: Sunday's Day 2 for Event 1 of the 2017 Isle Open saw (172) players return to play, with everything happening "quickly."  The field was (52) eliminations from the money, with the "bubble" reached just (90) minutes into the day.  A double elimination on the bubble meant that "hand-for-hand" play was skipped, and action would continue on...fast and furious.  Just five hours after reaching the money, players would redrawing for new seats at the final table, but a card was never dealt.  Discussions of an ICM chop began right away, with the numbers agreed to after brief negotiation.  A full recap will be posted this afternoon, with the final table payouts listed below:

Event 2 of the Isle Open began at 6:00pm yesterday, with the cards flying for the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Big Stack Turbo Bounty" ($5,000).  A mixture of eliminated Event 1 players, and new names and faces, made up the field of (88) entries.  The official prize pool closed at $7,915, with the $25 bounties included in the number.  Once the payouts were posted, the field would see that eleven players were scheduled to get paid, with action playing down to an outright winner (results posted below):

Tournaments: The 2017 Isle Open schedule continues today with two events, the first of which begins at 11:00am.  Event 3 ($60 No Limit Hold'em | $7,000 GTD) mirrors one of the more popular "recurring" events from the monthly calendar, but inserts it in an afternoon slot for the first time.  The tournament's structure has players sitting down to starting stacks of 14,000 units, and playing levels lasting (20) minutes from start to finish.  There is also an option add-on at the end of registration (after Level 8), with $20 getting players 10,000 units (with 100% of the add-ons going towards the prize pool).

The guarantee balloons to $20,000 for the evening event, with Event 4 ($130 No Limit Hold'em | $20,000 GTD) getting underway at 6:00pm.  This tournament is normally found in the Monday night time slot (even outside of the series), and consistently attracts fields over (200) entries.  The tournament structure doesn't deviate from what's used on the "monthly calendar," with player sitting down to 16,000 unit starting stacks, and playing levels of (20) minutes over the course of the evening.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-3:00am (Tuesday morning), players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.
