Isle Classic Event #18 (Flight 1C): Doesn't Get On The Board, But Madrid's High Hand Good For 100,000 Pot

2017 Isle Classic | Event #18
$175 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD)
Level 15 (Blinds 1,500/3,000/500)
Total Flight 1C Entries: 133
Flight 1C Players Remaining: 40

Juan Madrid (Coconut Creek, FL) watches, as the player he just doubled through gets eliminated from the Flight 1C field.

In a blind v. blind situation, Juan Madrid (Coconut Creek, FL) managed to get his 49,000 stack all-in from the big, holding Q Q♠ against the small blind's 3 3.  The flop would come out Q♠ Q♣ 9, with Madrid lifting his hands in the air, and saying "high hand!!!"  While these multi-flight tournament aren't eligible for the room's high hand promotion, the hand was for a pot worth over 100,000.  With the 2,660,000 chips in play (for this flight), spread across the field pretty evenly, Madrid now holds a top ten stack in the field.

Juan Madrid - 110,000 (37bb)
