Most of the players that frequent the tournament in South Florida are from the area, so it's easy to forget that this is a vacation destination for most people. Nick Marts has a Hendon Mob resume that states he's from North Dakota, but the current Minnesota resident just got back from a cruise, which had its port here in Florida (as so many of the cruise lines do). Having heard about this $100,000 guarantee event, he decided to jump in the action, and stands out amongst others in the field. "Why does he stand out," one may ask...from the picture above, you can see that he owns the best beard in the field...hands down.
Now Marts does have one result on his Hendon Mob resume, a final table finish in Event #9 of the Roughrider Poker Tour, hosted in Bismarck, North Dakota (those poker tour names are serious). The ninth place cash in the $240 buy-in event saw a return of $756, which he could easily top with a deep run in this event.
