"Good luck," Justin Harvell would say to Nancy Thomas, just as Table 3 was approached, with Thomas just having shoved for 9,125. She was up against two players on the flop of 6♠ 4♠ 2♣, with her first opponent folding, and Matt Lambrecht in the tank. A call would be about thirty percent of Lambrecht's stack, and after separating the chips for a call, Matt would eventually drop them on the felt for a call. Thomas would turn over J♦ J♣, which was ahead of Matt's 6♥ 7♥, and held up through the runout. Nancy would chip up over 20,000 with the pot, but ended up losing some of those chips back just two hands later.
On a 3♠ 4♦ 10♣ K♠ 3♥ runout, Nancy called bets from Lambrecht on the flop and turn, but ended up folding after Lambrecht shoved the river. Thomas showed her hand to Harvell before folding (10x 4x), believing that her two-pair was counterfeited on the river.
