Sal Accardi (Dix Hills, NY) managed to navigate his was to the final table, playing with a stack that was never over twenty bigs (over the last three levels).  Unfortunately, he couldn't find the critical double that he needed, as Fred Dabus eliminated Sal in tenth place.  Sal was flipping for his tournament life with A♠ 9♠ against Fred's 5♥ 5♦, and watched as Dabus ended up making a straight on the river.  Sal had his father on the rail today, who was extremely proud to see his son reach the final table...even though it was short of their ultimate goal.
