The card protector that sits atop the stack of chip leader Luis Zedan (Miami, FL).

It's been a little bit since we last checked in on chip counts from the field, but it's a familiar name still sitting atop the leaderboard.  Luis Zedan (Miami, FL) was the first player to eclipse the 100,000 mark (back in Level 4), and has now become the first to crack 300,000.  Zedan currently sits with 325,000, and is running away from the rest of the field.  Updated chip counts tallied during the middle of Level 9 are posted below:

Luis Zedan - 325,000 (325bb)
David Coughlin - 210,000 (210bb)
Vanessa Rousso - 130,000 (130bb)
