FSPC Event #14 (Day 1C): Field Gets Smaller, Stacks Getting Larger

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #14 | $1,500 No Limit Hold'em ($500,000 GTD)
Level 7 (Blinds 300/600/600)
Total Day 1C Entries: 158
Day 1C Players Remaining: 85

Players are now two levels removed from break, with the clock about to transition to Level 8, with players about to post new blinds of 400/800/800.  While the number of entries continues to rise, we are seeing the number of players remaining fall at a rapid rate.  A lot of the stacks that were once 20-30 bigs deep, are now in the dangerous 10-15 big blind range, which is why we're seeing numerous players bust out.

Sergio Giha (Miami, FL) is currently leading the field, as he just brought a stack of 175,000 to Table 1 (after Table 9 broke).  Giha has just under $48,000 in live tournament earnings, with his last recorded result coming in March of 2017.  Updated counts from the Day 1C field are posted below:

Sergio Giha - 175,000 (291bb)
Matthew Lambrecht - 150,000 (250bb)
Stephen Ibrahim - 142,000 (236bb)
Israel De La Cerda - 138,000 (230bb)
Mike Guttermann - 135,000 (225bb)
Carlos Rodriguez - 130,000 (216bb)
Jeffrey Trudeau - 125,000 (208bb)
Nicholas Mahabee - 110,000 (183bb)

Kai Koppe - 100,000 (166b)
