Wednesday, August 22nd: A Little Mixed-Game Action On The CPPT Schedule, Along With A Main Event Satellite

ICYMI: Outside of the 10:00am satellite into Event #5, the first real tournament of the day was Event #5 of the Card Player Poker Tour, a $300 No Limit Hold'em Six-Max.  The event would see the field close with (42) entries, and a prize pool of $10,710.  Once registration closed, players learned that six placed would be paid, with action playing through the money bubble.  It wasn't until heads-up play was reached, that the final two players agreed to a deal, with Raminder Singh (Delray Beach, FL) adding another title to his impressive tournament resume.  The official results from Event #5 are listed below:
  1. Raminder Singh (Delray Beach, FL) $3,595

  6. Jose Reyes (Coral Springs, FL) $643
The third tournament (but second standard event) of the day began at 6:00pm, and was a $130 No Limit Hold'em, which boasted a $20,000 guaranteed prize pool.  The field would grow to (188) entries by the time registration closed, with (24) players scheduled to earn a piece of the $20,000 prize pool.  Players to cash short of the final table included Adel Arbuckle, Michael Corbett, Adel Jo, Steven Zukowski, Andrew Daire, and Rebecca Dellagloria.  After four eliminations at the final table, a six-way deal was agreed to, with Daniel Heimiller awarded first place.  Heimiller is a tournament legend, and earns his first every Isle Casino Pompano win.  Results from Event #6's final table are posted below:

Tournaments: There are three tournaments on today's schedule, the first of which (10:00am) is an $80 No Limit Hold'em "Turbo" Satellite Into Event #7 ($300 Pot Limit Omaha w/ $200 Rebuys).  The satellite is structured with 8,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (15) minutes in length.  Registration for the satellite is open through Level 10, allowing for just over two hours of time to join the action.

The one "standard" event of the day is Event #7 of the Card Player Poker Tour, which gets underway at 2:00pm.  The $300 Pot Limit Omaha event offers $200 rebuys and a $100 add-on, which should help build a pretty sizable prize pool.  Players in the event will be sitting down to starting stacks of 12,000 units, and levels that last (30) minutes.  Registration is open through Level 8 (and the break that follows), which is a (4.5) hour time period.

At 6:00pm, we have our first satellite into Event #8, which is the Card Player Poker Tour $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event ($250,000 GTD).  The satellite has a $130 price point, and will see (1 in 10) entries awarded a seat into the main event of the series.  Players in the tournament will be sitting down to starting stacks of 10,000 units, playing levels that last (20) minutes.  Registration for the satellite is open through Level 8, and the ten minute break that follows.

Promotions: From (9:00am-10:00am), the high hand will award $150 every (30) minutes.  The high hands will then transition from 10:00am-12:00am (midnight), with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible (Isle Open events not eligible for high hand) each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.  From 12:00am-9:00am, players are eligible for $100 high hands every hour.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).
