Monday, September 3rd: Holiday Weekend Ending On A Very High Note, With Day 2 Of $175 NLH ($50,000 GTD), A $15,000 GTD Single-Day, And $1,200 High Hands

ICYMI: Yesterday's schedule was highlighted by the final pair of starting flights for the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD).  After a somewhat slow start to the event on Saturday, a big day was needed yesterday, in order to reach the posted guarantee of $50,000.  Any idea of potentially missing the number drifted away after Flight 1C, as the third starting flight saw registration close with (130) entries.  A total of (13) players would reach Day 2 from the flight, led by Kenneth Berman (328,500). Some other notables to bag from Flight 1C were Bill Farnan (209,000), William Swicicki (190,000), and Christopher Lawson (164,500).

Because of the strong start, Flight 1D only needed (93) entries to reach the guarantee, with that number hit midway through Level 4.  The field would grow to (132) entries, of which (14) players were still around at the bagging process.  John Dollinger (327,000) packed away the largest stack from the flight, with notables David Albertston (244,500) and Matt Bretzfield (232,000) rounding out the top three.

The holiday weekend tournament officially reached a total of (410) entries, which equated to a prize pool of $55,350.  Of the (43) players returning to action at 12:00pm this afternoon, (37) will reach the money, with all eyes on the $12,220 first place prize.

Tournaments: Today's tournament schedule begins at 12:00pm, as (43) players return for Day 2 of the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($50,000 GTD).  There are no changes in the structure, as play resumes with 6:10 minutes remaining in Level 16 (the point where Flight 1B stopped), and levels lasting (20) minutes for the rest of the event.

The holiday weekend schedule then wraps up at 3:00pm, with a "special" $130 No Limit Hold'em event, that boasts a $15,000 guarantee.  The tournament is structured with 16,000 unit starting stacks, and levels that last (20) minutes throughout.  Registration for the tournament is open through Level 8, and the ten minute break that follows.

Promotions: The day's promotions initially run from 10:00am-6:00pm, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

Then, from 6:00pm through 12:00am, a "special holiday weekend promotion" kicks in, with the official details posted below:
