Isle Poker Classic Event #7 (Day 1C): Jay Romano Makes Absolute Most Of 2018 Tournament Cash

2018 Isle Poker Classic (Event #7)
$1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event
$200,000 GTD
Level 4 (Blinds 200/300/200)
Total Day 1C Entries: 34

The trend of players having their best year of tournament poker (in 2018) has been a very real thing, as it seems like a majority of the players we have been featuring, fit in that exact mold.  Most of those players have amassed numerous cashes to reach that point...but not Jay Romano (Parkland, FL).  Romano has recorded just one result this year, but he made the most of it, reaching the final table of Event #1 during the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open.  The tournament had 3,064 entries, and a prize pool of $1,532,000...so when he earned third place money (in a three-way chop), it was sizable.  Romano received a return of $160,000, which was his first six-figure score in five years (his first coming during the 2013 Isle Open).  That result from August still stands as his only cash of 2018, but he's in the Day 1C field today, looking to add to his career best year.
