Isle Poker Classic Event #7 (Day 1C): Players Ready For The "Third Verse" Of The Isle Poker Classic Main Event ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em $200,000 GTD)

2018 Isle Poker Classic (Event #7)
$1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event
$200,000 GTD
Level 1 (Blinds 100/100)
Total Day 1C Entries: N/A

There are now two opening day's in the books for Event #7 of the Isle Poker Classic ($1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event), with the third having got underway just moments ago.  The tournament supervisor went over the rules to the players currently seated at their tables, ready to turn their 30,000 unit starting stacks, into a healthy sized bag at the end of play.

To this point in the tournament, there have been a total of (104) entries, of which (26) players have bagged chips for Monday's Day 2 (12:00pm).  The prize pool, which enters the day at $101,920, is more than halfway to the posted guarantee (of $200,000).  Today and tomorrow's starting days should be the busiest of the four to be played, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see that final number reach the $225,000-$250,000 mark.

Those players that haven't bagged are all chasing Tom Gity (Pompano Beach, FL), who finished Day 1B with 283,000.  After showing up a handful of levels into play, Gity started off slowly, but went on a tear over the final four levels of play.  For those looking to set a goal for Day 2, the current chip average of the bagged stacks is 121,000.  Players returning with an average stack on Monday, will resume play with over (80) big blinds.

Official chip counts from the first two starting days will be posted shortly, followed by a look at the players in today's Day 1C field.
