Tuesday, May 28th: Three-Way Deal Ends $175 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD), Returning To Regularly Scheduled Programming

ICYMI: At 1:00pm yesterday afternoon, a total of (103) players returned for Day 2 of the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD).  From that number, (89) players would reach the money, battling it out for their share of the $131,355 prize pool.  The money bubble burst less than an hour into play, with player's focus then shifting to those healthy final table payouts.  At 8:00pm, after the elimination of Jairo Velazquez, the final ten players would take their seats at the final table.  A quick discussion about chopping was shut down, so action then continued on, playing down to the point where things were three-handed.  The final trio then agreed to a deal (daily even), with Theo Lawson (Miami Gardens, FL) awarded first place in the deal (even though he received the same amount as runner-up Thao Le (Davie, FL).  Final table results are listed below, with full tournament results to be posted later this morning:
  1. Theo Lawson (Miami Gardens, FL) $17,212
  2. Thao Le (Davie, FL) $17,212
  3. Guy Hajun (Davie, FL) $17,211
  4. Christopher Ardron (N. Lauderdale, FL) $7,995
  5. Tracy Scala (Village Of Golf, FL) $6,095
  6. Shurland George (Miramar, FL) $4,850
  7. Chad Graber (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) $4,015
  8. Robert Transue (North Lauderdale, FL) $3,195
  9. Vincent Green (Boynton Beach, FL) $2,400
  10. Douglas Decker (Port St. Lucie, FL) $1,985
Theo Lawson, Guy Hajun, and Thao Le (after agreeing to a three-way deal that ended the $175 No Limit Hold'em $100,000 GTD).

The evening time slot (6:00pm) hosted a $90 No Limit Hold'em event, which boasted a $1,500 guaranteed prize pool.  Registration for the tournament would close with (19) total entries, and a prize pool of $1,500.  Payouts were scheduled to be spread across three spots, and once the money bubble burst, players agreed to a deal (with the official results listed below):
  1. Marianne Dewitt (Lauderdale Lakes, FL) $525
  2. Roberto Desogos (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $507
  3. Scott Underkoffler (Treasure Island, FL) $468
Tournaments: Tuesday's schedule begins at 11:00am, with a little mixed-game action, and the $150 Limit Omaha 8B Hi/Lo ($2,000 GTD) event.  The tournament is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  The mixed-game players show up strong each week, so you can count on a sizable prize pool for this tournament, well above the posted guarantee.

The 6:00pm event has quickly become a favorite of the recurring tournament players.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em "Chip Buster" has a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool, which is sure to be surpassed, by the time registration closes.  The tournament is structured with 50,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration that is open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).

Promotions: Outside of the "standard" high hands, the poker opens with the "new" Full House Promotion.  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $40 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $40.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The day's "standard" high hand period will last from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

From 12:00am-3:00am, the high hand will be awarded $100 every (60) minutes.
