Thursday, September 12th: Weekend Is In Sight, But Too Much Thursday Action To Pass Up On

ICYMI: Wednesday's tournament action began at 11:00am, with a $100 No Limit Hold'em event, that carried a $2,000 guaranteed prize pool.  Players would arrive slowly (but steady) throughout the registration period, as the event closed with a total of (20) entries.  Three players were scheduled to reach the money, but a chop was agreed to long before the money bubble.  Details of the seven-way chop are listed below:
  1. Les Schneider (Pompano Beach, FL) $383
  2. Robert Gelin (Boynton Beach, FL) $326
  3. Stacy Thomas (Jupiter, FL) $305
  4. Howard Goodsite (Weston, FL) $271
  5. George Lukawski (Parkland, FL) $256
  6. Jairo Carrillo (Pompano Beach, FL) $236
  7. Arnold Cohen (West Palm Beach, FL) $223
The evening tournament (6:00pm) was a $60 No Limit Hold'em event ($1,000 GTD), offering $40 rake-free re-buys.  The registration period would close with (17) entries, and an official prize pool of $1,389.  Just like the afternoon event before it, three players were scheduled to get paid, but play continued through the money bubble.  Once the bubble burst, players agreed to an even chop, with the results posted below:
  1. Matt Jonchuck (Cooper City, FL) $463
  2. Kreisten Sisky (Davie, FL) $463
  3. Cathy Miller (Jupiter, FL) $463
Tournaments: At 11:00am this morning, the $120 Omaha 8B Hi/Lo ($2,000 GTD) finds itself a home.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8.

The non-no limit Hold'em action is followed (at 6:00pm), by a $100 No Limit Hold'em "Green Chip Bounty" ($2,000 GTD) event.  The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 14,000 units, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  Throughout the tournament, each player elimination is worth $25 (hence the green chip bounty).

Promotions: Things begin with the "Full House Promo," which will open the doors seven day a week!!!  The proceedings begin once the doors of the poker room open, with the first (25) full houses made, earning a $50 prize.  Each jackpot eligible cash game is included in the promotion, with two rules to keep in mind, when thinking about winning the $50.  In order to be eligible, the full house must be made using two cards, and must be the winning hand.

The "standard" high hands will be awarding $150 every (20) minutes (from 9:00am-12:00am).  Every jackpot game is eligible for the same amount, with the full $150 being rewarded, regardless of one or two cards being used to make the high hand.  For those players in tournaments, two-card high hands are worth $100, with one-card high hands walking away with $50.
