Saturday, December 19th: Max Martin Wins Friday's $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) Outright, Taking Home A Healthy Reward!

ICYMI: South Florida tournament players have Friday's circled on their calendar, and for good reason, as we host our $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD).  The numbers have been exceptional for the tournament this month, and last night was no different!!! Registration for the event closed with a total of (105) entries, and an official prize pool of $12,075.  Of the total entries, (14) players were scheduled to reach the money, with first place to take home $3,357.  Normally those top prizes are altered, as final table deals are made, but last night's tournament played down to an outright winner.  Max Martin (Hollywood, FL) bested Walter Buss during heads-up play, to take home the first place prize, with the official results of the tournament listed below:
  1. Max Martin (Hollywood, FL) $3,357
  2. Walter Buss (Brussels, Belgium) $2,500
  3. David Albertson (Margate, FL) $1,340
  4. Michael Stewartson (Coconut Creek, FL) $875
  5. Zaki Lichaa (Pompano Beach, FL) $676
  6. Sal Accardi (Pompano Beach, FL) $555
  7. Mohamed Meaied (Boca Raton, FL) $471

Tournaments: On the heels of another successful Friday tournament, we have another great event on tap for this evening (6:00pm).  The $100 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD) may be the best "value" tournament on the schedule, offering up a serious return on accommodating buy-in.  The tournament is structured with a 12,000 unit starting stack, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8 (and the ten minute break that follows).

Promotions: Saturday's high hand promotion stays the same from open to close...awarded $100 every (30) minutes, to the qualifying high hand (must be aces-full or better).  In order to make a qualifying high hand, players must use both hole cards, as one-card high hands are no longer eligible.

6:00pm: $100 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD)
  • Players start with 12,000 in tournament chips
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
  • Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
  • Levels will last (20) minutes
