Saturday, January 23rd: Anderson Patino Wins Friday's Tournament Outright, As The "Weekend Swing" Rolls On!!!

ICYMI: Friday nights continue to be the most popular, in regards to tournament action, as the $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) had another great showing yesterday evening!  The tournament's registration window closed with a total of (102) entries, and an official prize pool of $11,730.  Looking back at this particular tournament, and the numbers over the past few months, it reaches the $10,000 mark on the regular.  Now while the action usually ends in a chop, last night's installment was a little different, as things played down to an outright winner.  Anderson Patino (Miami, FL) bested Joseph Douquette (Lake Worth, FL) during heads-up play, to take down the $3,577 first place prize.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

Tournaments: Tonight's schedule hosts a $100 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD), which gets underway at 6:00pm.  Of the events that make up the "Weekend Swing," this tournament offers up the best value, as the returns on the $100 buy-in are pretty substantial.  The tournament is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration open through Level 8 (and the short break that follows).


Promotions: Saturday's high hand promotion stays the same from open to close...awarded $100 every (30) minutes, to the qualifying high hand (must be aces-full or better).  In order to make a qualifying high hand, players must use both hole cards, as one-card high hands are no longer eligible.

6:00pm: $100 No Limit Hold'em ($3,000 GTD)
  • Players start with 12,000 in tournament chips
  • Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
  • Alternates and late entries will start with a full stack
  • Levels will last (20) minutes
