The action at Table 5 was approached on the river, in a heads-up hand between Luke Poljak and Haim Toorgeman.  The full board read 4♦ 6♥ K♠ Q♥ K♥, with Tooregman announcing himself all-in just as we walked up.  Poljak immediately called, and rolled over K♣ K♦, having rivered quads.  Haim stood from the table and tossed his hand in the muck, with the deal informing him that his holding had to be tabled (because of an all-in and call situation).

"I don't care what you do, you can show whatever you want," Haim said, as the dealer flipped up J♥ 7♥, with Toorgeman having rivered a flush.  Haim quickly walked to the cage to re-enter, while Poljak stacked up his chips, totaling over 42,000.

(POMPANO BEACH, FL) August 16th, 2017 - The Isle Casino Poker Room is proud to announce the first installment of the "Single-Day Series," a $2,500 No Limit Hold'em event to be held on Tuesday, August 22nd.

Months of discussions and planning have come to fruition, with a tournament that offers a higher buy-in, and convenience of a one-day event.  The Isle Poker Room "brain trust" listened to player's comments and suggestions throughout the planning process, and have put forth a product that is sure to be well-received by the poker community.  

This initial tournament begins at 12:00pm on August 22nd, and offers a great structure for an event of it's kind.  Entrants begin with 100,000 unit starting stacks, and will be playing (30) minute levels throughout the tournament.  Registration is open through the first eight levels (closing at approximately 4:20), allowing those that choose to enter late the opportunity to still sit down with twenty big blinds.

There have been commitments made by numerous players in regards to attendance for this opening event of the "series," all interested in taking home a five-figure score in less than (14) hours.  Beyond those already to have stated their intention to play, there will be a satellite run for the event on Monday, August 21st.

The satellite will have a $275 buy-in (NLH), and guarantees one seat into the following day's tournament.  While one seat will be awarded through the guarantee, players can expect multiple seats up for grabs once registration closes for the satellite, as (10) seats will be awarded to that satellite via high hand winners on Sunday, August 20th.

The promotion that normally runs on Sunday, begins at 10:00am, and awards $100 to the qualifying high hand every (10) minutes.  In addition to the $100 cash prize, the first ten high hand winners will also be awarded a seat into Monday's $275 No Limit Hold'em Satellite into the $2,500 NLH "Single-Day Series."

Thursday, August 17th: The "August $150,000" Continues, Full House And "Turbo" Promos

ICYMI: Yesterday was he opening day of the "August $150,000," with the first two starting flights (of eight total) on the schedule.  Things got off to a relatively slow start, when considering the history of this particular multi-flight event (at the $360 prize point).  Flight 1A and Flight 1B saw a combined total of (83) entries, with (12) players successfully bagging chips for Day 2.  We saw numerous notables in the opening flight's field, including the return of Megan Endres, who chopped the $360 No Limit Hold'em event during the most recent Florida State Poker Championships.  Players like Michael Tait, Nader Bahhur, Steven Bennett, and Paula Alibrandi were all in the field at one point, but were unable to reach the bagging process.  Fausto Tersigni (Ft. Tournaments: Today's sees the second pair of "August $150,000" flights on the schedule, with the first (Flight 1C) beginning at 11:00am.  The structure for the $360 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD) event is the same as yesterday, with players sitting down to 20,000 unit starting stacks, and playing levels of (30) minutes.  The day's play is scheduled to conclude after Level 16, or until 10% of the field remains (whichever comes first).  The second flight (Flight 1D) will follow at 6:00pm, with the tournament's opening flights reaching their halfway point at it's conclusion.  "Live blogged coverage" will be available during the afternoon flight (Flight 1C), with official chip counts from the end of Flight 1D posted once the bags/stacks have been verified.

Promotions: The Full House Early Bird promotion is in it's regularly scheduled spot this morning, but it's no longer just for limit hold'em players.  Every table in the poker room (excluding time raked games) is eligible for the promotion, which pays out the first (50) full houses (payout depends on which stakes are being played).  Similar to what is run on Friday's, there will also be $300 awarded to qualifying high hands every (15) minutes (from 12:00pm-4:00pm).

With just over ten big blinds, and action folding to Kevin Scarola, he would shove for 34,600.  Player would fold behind, leaving just the blinds to decide.  After asking for a count, Fausto Tersigni would make the call (small blind), with Richard Leger also coming along from the big (after a solid two minutes of thought).  The two players would check down the runout of 2♥ 3♦ 7♦ 7♠ 5♠, with the dealer announcing that he needed to see all three hands. 

Tersigni quickly rolled over his A♦ Q♥, with Scarola tabling 8♣ 4♣ as he collected his things.  Leger showed K♦ J♥, which meant that Tersigni's ace-high would be awarded the pot (worth over 130,000).  Fausto now holds an overwhelming chip lead with eight players remaining, sitting with 300,000.

Steven Bennett opened the action at Table 9 with a raise to 2,700, with Tom Cuce flatting from the cutoff.  Fausto Tersigni was next to act, and he would three-bet from the button to 6,000.  After the blinds folded, action would be back on Bennett, who took a few moments before pushing his stack across his cards.  Bennett's all-in was for about 40,000, which was an amount that both of his opponents had covered.  Cuce mucked his hand, and Tersigni would follow by casually tossing a single chip towards the pot.

Steven Bennett seemed to know his fate, as he turned over J♠ J♣, only to see Fausto table A♥ A♦.  The board would run out 8♥ 6♣ 8♣ K♠ 8♦, and Bennett would be eliminated from Flight 1A.  Tersigni became the flight's chip leader with that pot, and sits with over 120,000.

Justin Levy is heading on break a little "healthier" in regards to chip stack, winning a nice pot before the clock ran down, and saving himself from firing another bullet.  The hand being referenced was between Levy, Steven Bennett, and Nader Bahhur.  On a flop of 10♦ 9♦ 2♠, both Bennett and Bahhur checked to Levy.  Justin put out a bet of 2,400, which was then called by both players, with the players then looking at the 4♥ on the turn.  Both players checked once again to Levy, who shoved his remaining stack (which was about 6,400).  Bahhur and Bennett released their hands, and Levy would chip up to 19,000.

The "multi-flight madness" returns in just a short while, as the cards get in the air for Flight 1A of the $360 No Limit Hold'em ($150,000 GTD), otherwise known as the "August $150,000."  The $360 buy-in tournament has a total of eight starting flights, with an afternoon (12:00pm) and evening (6:00pm) start time each day, Wednesday through Saturday.  Day 2 for the tournament is on Sunday (August 20th) at 12:00pm, and will play down to a conclusion.  

The tournament's structure stays the same for each opening flight, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 20,000 units.  Level's will last (30) minutes during each starting flight (Levels 1-16), and transition to (40) minutes on Day 2 (Level's 17+).  Registration is open through Level 8 (and the break that follows), with the schedule seeing the bagging process begin after Level 16 (or until 13% of the field remains).

Wednesday, August 16th: "August $150,000 GTD" Begins With Two Flights, Still "Spinning To Win"

ICYMI: Tuesday afternoon's $100 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) saw registration close with (44) entries, and an official prize pool of $3,388.  The tournament's first place payout was scheduled to be $1,322, but that number would change after a four-way deal was agreed to.  The final four players happened to be some of the most loyal Isle Casino tournament poker players, so it was no surprise when the four friends decided to chop the remaining prize money.  Donald Gordon (Boynton Beach, FL) was the chip leader at the time of the deal, and would be declared the tournament's winner.

Tuesday, August 15th: Six-Way Event Chop Of The $25,000 GTD, "Tournament Tuesday" Returns

ICYMI: It's usually said that only one person walks away truly happy from a poker tournament after it's over, and that's the winner.  Last night would be the an exception though, as the final six players agreed to an even chop, with each of them walking away with $2,991.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em tournament had a $25,000 posted guaranteed, but ended up eclipsing that number, after (297) entries made up the field.  The official prize pool closed at $28,809, and ended up boasting a first place prize of $6,330.  Obviously that number would be altered once the deal was agreed to, but first we would see numerous Isle Poker Room notables book cashes for their resumes (including Guillermo Irving, Chad Millward, Anna Dikker, Alexander Thomas, David Moreno, and Charlemagne Benjamin, Jr.).  The final table was reached just before midnight, and after four eliminations, the players left managed to work out a deal where they all took the same amount.  For "records" purposes, Nathan Schwartz (Boca Raton, FL) was listed as the tournament's winner.

Tournaments: It's come to be known as "Tournament Tuesday," with any tournament that is plugged into the afternoon evening time slot, turning out to be a success.  The day's action starts at 11:00am, with the $100 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD).  The tournament sees players sitting down to starting stacks of 25,000 units, and playing levels lasting (20) minutes.  

That tournament is followed by one of the more popular evening events, the $60 No Limit Hold'em ($8,000 GTD).  The event crushes the guarantee on a weekly basis, with fields over (200) entries becoming the norm.  The event is structured with a 14,000 unit starting stack, levels of (20) minutes, and an optional add-on at the end of registration.

Promotions: It's all about getting to the poker room early on Tuesdays (and Thursdays), as the "Early Bird Full House" promotion offers an awarded cash prize (depending on game plated) for the first (50) full houses of the day (in live cash games).  That promotion is followed by $300 high hands every (15) minutes, from the hours of 12:00pm-4:00pm.

ICYMI: Sunday afternoon's $150 No Limit Hold'em tournament had a field that was comprised of (42) entries, which equated to a prize pool of $4,830.  A total of six players were going to reach the money, with action continuing after the money bubble burst.  It wouldn't be until heads-up play, that discussions of a deal began.  After Vitaliy Averyanov and Andrew Donavan worked out the numbers, they came to an agreement, with Vataliy earning first place money.

Tournaments: The Monday afternoon time slot (11:00am) hosts a $120 No Limit Hold'em Survivor, with three players guaranteed to walk away with a $400 "package."  Approximately 1 in 4.5 players will make up each "package," so the potential for more than three players to win $400 is always there.  The event is structured with starting stack of 12,000 units, and levels that last (20) minutes throughout the afternoon.

The evening tournament (6:00pm) carries the largest guaranteed prize pool for a single-day event on the August schedule.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em tournament has a $25,000 guarantee, and has been one of the most popular tournaments on the recurring schedule.  The structure has players sitting down to starting stacks of 16,000 units, and playing levels of (20) minutes over the course of the night.

Promotions: Outside of the "standard high hand" promotion, there will be "Turbo High Hands" from 9:00am-12:00pm.  During that window of time, $100 will be awarded to the qualifying high hand every (10) minutes (rollovers apply).
