Tournaments: Sunday's tournament schedule begins with a $340 No Limit Hold'em "Turbo" Satellite into Event #7 ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em $300,000 GTD).  The last satellite for the Battles At The Beach Main Event is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, (15) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.

At 1:00pm, the third (and final) starting day of Event #7 will be getting underway. The Battles At The Beach Main Event is structured with 30,000 unit starting stacks, (50) minute levels (up until the final table), and has registration period that stays open through the first hand of Day 2.

The day then wraps up at 6:00pm, with the first satellite for the last event of the Battles At The Beach ($360 No Limit Hold'em $50,000 GTD).  The $90 No Limit Hold'em Satellite is structured with 10,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and registration that is open through Level 8.  The satellite guarantees five seats into Event #8.

Promotions: The high hands will run from 9:00am-12:00am, with the opportunity to win $400 every (30) minutes.  During that period, the promotion sees tournament players eligible each half-hour for $100 high hands, 2/2 limit hold'em players eligible for $200 high hands, 2/4 limit hold'em players eligible for $300 high hands, and all other raked games (1/2-5/10 NLH, 4/8 Omaha 8B, 6/12 O.E., etc.) eligible for $400 high hands.

It should also be noted that players are able to win the high hand using only one card in their hand.  The payouts for those that use one card are different than the standard numbers listed above, and can be found (full listing of one-card payouts on flyers in the poker room).

Saturday, March 30th: Polychronopoulos Takes Down Event #6 Title, As The Battles At The Beach Main Event Rolls On

Event #6 Winner Athanasios Polychronopoulos
ICMYI: At 12:00pm yesterday afternoon, (20) players returned to the poker room, for Day 2 of the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD).  The prize pool was over $15,000 short of the posted guarantee, but the field would gain (14) entries via Day 2 buy-ins, which helped land the official number on the $100,000 mark.  The day's action was pretty swift, as the field was down to the final table just after 4:30pm.  With the levels transitioning to (60) minutes, and stacks super deep, one would guess that things would slow down to a crawl...but that was not the case.  The eliminations kept coming at the final table, with players agreeing to a four-way chop at approximately 7:45pm.  Athanasios Polychronopoulos (Delray Beach, FL) took home first place money in the deal ($21,366), and was also awarded the event's trophy.  Official results from Event #6 are posed below:
  1. Athanasios Polychronopoulos (Delray Beach, FL) $21,366
  2. Michael Amato (Boca Raton, FL) $17,491
  3. Vadims Ivanovs (Hallandale Beach, FL) $14,708
  4. Brandon Noe (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $14,685
  5. Raminder Singh (Delray Beach, FL) $5,850
  6. Christopher Bolek (Coconut Creek, FL) $4,675
  7. Ian O'Hara (Coconut Creek, FL) $4,675
  8. Jason Wandling (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $3,450

At 1:00pm, play got started for Event #7 of the Battles At The Beach, which is the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em ($300,000 GTD) Main Event.  The first of three starting days attracted a total of (37) entries, with (9) players reaching the bagging process.  Luis Zedan led the group with a stack of 190,500, just beating out Anthony Astarita (183,500).  Official chip counts from Day 1A are listed below:

Luis Zedan - 190,500

Following the resumption of Event #6, we will see Event #7 begin, which is the "main event" of the Battles At The Beach.  The $1,500 No Limit Hold'em tournament carries a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool, which is the largest of the series.  The tournament is structured with 30,000 unit starting stacks, (50) minute levels (for each Day 1), and registration that is open through Level 11 (which will stay open until the first hand is dealt on Day 2).

To end the day, we see the third satellite into Event #7 of the Battles At The Beach ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em $300,000 GTD).  The $175 No Limit Hold'em Satellite is structured with 12,000 unit starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and has registration that is open through Level 8.
