Monday, December 14th: A New Week, But Same Great Action, And $300 High Hands (2:00PM-10:00PM)

ICYMI: Sunday's tournament schedule was headlined by a $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack," which had a $3,000 guarantee.  Both Friday's and Saturday's tournaments doubled their posted guarantees, and their was little question whether we would see three-for-three this weekend.  The guarantee was met long before registration was even over, with the prize pool eventually closing at an even $6,000 (after a total of 60 entries).  Eight players were scheduled to reach the money, with action playing down to the point where play was three handed (at which point a chop was agreed to).  Official results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. Conelly Howard (Boca Raton, FL) $1,575
  2. Aleksey Kashirin (Moskovskaya, Russia) $1,366
  3. Ricardo Shi (Hialeah, FL) $1,283
  4. Walter Buss (Brussels, Belgium) $540
  5. Jeffrey Nurge (West Palm Beach, FL) $420
  6. David Foster (Brooklyn, NY) $330
  7. Anthony Casas (Miami, FL) $270
  8. Michael Boykin (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $216
Tournaments: That's a wrap for the "weekend swing," with tournament players looking ahead to this Friday (as that's the next event on the schedule).  With two weeks left in the year, there is a lot of talk of what January's tournament schedule will look like (many beleive we will see the return of weekday/weeknight tournaments).

Promotions: Monday's could seem like a drag to some, but the Isle Poker Room is trying to make things a little "richer."  Players can look forward to $100 high hands from 11:00am-2:00pm, awarded every (30) minutes.  At 2:00pm, the money awarded grows, with $300 high hands every (30) minutes, up until 10:00pm (at which point things revert back to $100).

Thursday, December 3rd: Thursday's Calming Sense...Before The Action Really Picks Up For The Weekend!!!

ICYMI: If there was a day of the week that would be the "calmest" at the Isle Casino Pompano Park Poker Room, it would for sure be Thursday.  It's the only 24-hour period that runs without a "bonus promotion," or a guaranteed daily tournament.  That being said, the cash game action runs still runs strong, with 1/2 No Limit Hold'em mainly hosted across the room.

Tournaments: We are less than a day away from the beginning off the "Weekend Trifecta," a trio of tournaments that each carry a solid guarantee...and repeatedly crush the numbers!!!  Tomorrow's tournament is a $150 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD), offering a great structure...and even better value!!
