Tuesday, April 20th: "Final Table Finish" Impressive Once Again, As We Wait Two Days For The Tournament Return

ICYMI: When Monday's $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($10,000 GTD) was announced, the question was whether those numbers could be attained.  Things were quickly answered, as the tournament absolutely crushes week after week.  Last night's installment was a little lighter than usual, but still attracted (83) entries, and a prize pool of $17,430.  Since the payouts are spread across the final table only, they were incredibly attractive.  The evening's action concluded in a five-way deal, with Steven Smith (West Palm Beach, FL) taking home $3,865.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:

1. Steve Smith (West Palm Beach, FL) $3,865
2. Daniel Restrepo (Cooper City. FL) $3,030
3. Steven Cardarelli (Lake Worth, FL) $2,936
4. Jeffre Hewitt (Atlanta, GA) $2,596
5. James Smith (Washington, PA) $2,213
6. Julio Marrero (Tampa, FL) $1,046

Monday, April 19th: "Monster Stack" Concludes With Three-Way Even Chop, With All Eyes Solely Focused On Tonight's "Final Table Finish"

ICYMI: While Sunday's may be a day to wind down and prepare for the upcoming week (for some), it's a great opportunity to play afternoon poker (for others).  The $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) has consistently tripled (and quadrupled) the posted guarantee, with yesterday's installment being no different.  Registration for the "Monster Stack" closed with (97) entries, and an official prize pool of $9,700.  Thirteen players were scheduled to see a return on investment, and with some sizable payouts up top, the idea of flattening the numbers in a chop seemed appealing.  The final three players agreed to an even-chop, with Alfred Berchielli finding himself in the "official" first place spot.  Results from the tournament are listed below:

1. Alfred Berchielli (Boynton Beach, FL) $1,964
2. Milan Mizerovsky (Greenville, SC) $1,964
3. Andrew Davis (Delray Beach, FL) $1,963
4. Peter Martin (Ft. Myers, FL) $728
5. Andrew Daire (Boca Raton, FL) $567
6. Robert Kessler (Parkland, FL) $453
7. Jonathan Marcu (Boca Raton, FL) $386
8. Jay Friedman (Ft. Lauderdale. FL) $335
9. Raul Jimenez-Diaz (Miami, FL) $296
10. Jennifer Fitzgibbon (Upper Saddle River, NJ) $267
11. Roberto Alvarado (Pompano Beach, FL) $267
12. Brian Dunn (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $267
13. John Phan (New Hampshire) $243

Tournaments: At 6:00pm this evening, the $250 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD) "Final Table Finish" returns, with a little wrinkle.  This particular tournament had such a good structure, that the final table action ran into the closing time of the poker room (players are then faced with chopping, or bagging for a Day 2).  To keep that from occurring, there will be some slight changes moving forward.

The event will be structured with 25,000 chip starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  The new format-wrinkle comes into play when discussing payouts, as the tournament will pay out just the final table, regardless of how many entries.  Exact payout percentages are as follows (final tables are now eight-handed):

1. 40%
2. 20%
3. 10%
4. 7%
5. 7%
6. 6%
7. 5%
8. 5%

Promotions: From 11:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

6:00pm: $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($10,000 GTD)

• Players start with 25,000 in tournament chips
• Late and re-entries for the first (8) levels
