Tournaments: The $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) tournament had a very successful first run, and is now a member of the "recurring" tournament family (and receives a boosted guarantee).  The tournament is structured with 15,000 unit starting stacks, and has (20) minute levels throughout.  Registration is open through Level 8, and closes once the first hand of Level 9 is dealt (there is a short break between the two).  Tuesday evening tournament are the "closing" event of each week, with the official weekly leaderboard results finalized at the tournament's conclusion.

Monday, November 1st: It's Jonathan Marcu's Month To Remember, As He Takes Home October's Player Of The Month Title!!!

ICYMI: Sunday's $400 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD) was the last tournament of the month, giving players a final opportunity to change their standing on the Player of the Month leaderboard.  The event attracted a total of (80) entries, which equated to an official prize pool of $27,840.  A total of ten players were scheduled to reach the money, with the action playing down to a five-handed final table.  The remaining players then agreed to a deal, with Raminder Singh (Delray Beach, FL) taking home first place money ($6,857).  The chop occurred just after Jonathan Marcu's elimination, which cemented him as the October Player of the Month (earning $5,000).  Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with a finalized October Player of the Month leaderboard:

Tournaments: At 6:00pm this evening, the $250 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD) "Final Table Finish" returns, with a little wrinkle.  This particular tournament had such a good structure, that the final table action ran into the closing time of the poker room (players are then faced with chopping, or bagging for a Day 2).  To keep that from occurring, there will be some slight changes moving forward.

The event will be structured with 25,000 chip starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  The new format-wrinkle comes into play when discussing payouts, as the tournament will pay out just the final table, regardless of how many entries.  Exact payout percentages are as follows (final tables are now nine-handed):

Sunday, October 31st: Marcu Making His Mark On October, Hoping To Lock Up The $5,000 Player Of The Month Top Prize!!

ICYMI: We've gone almost the entire month of October, publishing results from each of the recurring tournaments, but we haven't really taken time to admire the run that Jonathan Marcu is on.  He got off to a hot start, with three top four finishes in the first week of the month.  As the month went on, he continued to post results, making final table after final table.  We now sit with one event remaining, and the $5,000 leaderboard top prize is Marcu's for the taking.  While there are a few players that could potentially eclipse his current number, if he was to cash in today's event, things would be all but locked up.

Marcu was in attendance for last night's $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD), which attracted a total of (77) players (and had an official prize pool of $7,700).  A total of ten players would reach the money in the event, with action playing down to a four-handed final table.  A chops was then agreed to, with Abraham Mevorah taking home first place money ($2,110), and Marcu earning second place money.  Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated leaderboard:
