Tuesday, March 2nd: "Final Table Finish" Shows Out, Quickly Becoming A Headlining Tournament On The Schedule!

ICYMI: Just over a week after it was announced to the community, the $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($10,000 GTD) made a big splash last night.  The tournament got underway at 6:00pm, and by the time registration was over (after Level 8), the tournament clock would show (96) entries.  The $20,160 prize pool was more than double the posted guarantee, and with the new tournament "twist" implemented, payouts were beyond impressive.  The "Final Table Finish" aspect of the event, meant that only those who reached the eight-handed final table, would earn a piece of the prize pool.  Jonathan Marcu and Matthew Vitale earned the lion's share of a deal that ended the event, with the official results listed below:
  1. Jonathan Marcu (Boca Raton, FL) $4,904
  2. Matthew Vitale (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) $4,463

Monday, March 1st: Poker Room Opening At 10:00AM Moving Forward, And Lots More To Talk About As We Welcome March!!!

ICYMI: Sunday normally wraps up the "Weekend Swing," but yesterday's $130 No Limit Hold'em "Monster Stack" ($3,000 GTD) was this week's penultimate event.  The $3,000 guaranteed tournament tripled the posted number number, after a total of (90) entries equated to a $9,000 prize pool.  The prize pool was scheduled to be spread across twelve pay-spots, with action ending in a five-way chop...and if your first name didn't start with the letter "J," you were not part of the chop.  Official results from the tournament are listed below:
  1. John Marzulli (Coconut Creek, FL) $1,813
  2. Jonathan Marcu (Coconut Creek, FL) $1,550
  3. Jordan Shamah (Delray Beach, FL) $1,210
  4. Joshua Multack (Delray Beach, FL) $1,177
  5. Jacque Shamah (Delray Beach, FL) $1,132

  10. Deborah Dana (Pompano Beach, FL) $261
  11. Peter Martin (Ft. Myers, FL) $243
  12. Joseph Dutchman (Miami, FL) $225
Tournaments: Monday hosts a tournament for the first time in almost a year, and players have been buzzing about it for days.  At 6:00pm this evening, the $250 No Limit Hold'em ($10,000 GTD) "Final Table Finish" is hosted for the first time ever.  It's not often that a new tournament variant is introduced, but this event is about as fresh and forward-thinking as they come.

The event is structured with 20,000 chip starting stacks, (25) minute levels, and has open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  The new wrinkle comes into play when discussing payouts, as the tournament will pay out just the final table, regardless of how many entries.  Exact payout percentages are as follows (final tables are now eight-handed):
  1. 40%
  2. 20%
  3. 10%
  4. 7%
  5. 7%
  6. 6%
  7. 5%
  8. 5%
If the field is larger than the number needed to reach the guarantee...those final table payouts just grow and grow!!! It's an incredible incentive to set that initial goal...make the final table...then focus on the win!

Promotions: From 11:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

ICYMI: With the recent success of daily tournament poker at the Isle Casino Pompano Park, a new event was bound to make it's way to the schedule.  The management team wanted to make a splash, but also wanted to bring a product that was fresh and forward thinking.

Please welcome the newest daily tournament to the schedule...every Monday...at 6:00pm, a $250 No Limit Hold'em "Final Table Finish" ($10,000 GTD).
