Wednesday, October 12th: Charlemagne Benjamin's Multi-Day Run Helps Secure Weekly Leaderboard Win, With A Day Off To Reset

ICYMI: Tuesday's $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) was an important tournament for a few reasons, but the fact that it was the deciding event for the second-ever Weekly Leaderboard, was the detail that made the event stand out.  A total of (45) entries showed on the tournament clock (at registration's end), which equated to an official prize pool of $5,490.  Two installments of a new tournament, and two guarantees surpassed...it's definitely a recipe for making sure the event sticks on the calendar.  Of those entries, a total of nine players reached the money, with action playing down to an outright winner.  Ian Cohen (Ft. Saturday, October 2nd: Vittorio Faricelli Off To A Hot Start, Kicks Off October's Weekly (And Monthly) Leaderboard

ICYMI: The Player of the Month leaderboard resets, and while competitors aren't battling for a WSOP Main Event seat, there is a new wrinkle that may be of interest.  October offers a weekly leaderboard, in addition to the monthly, offering $500 to first place and $300 to the runner up (the week runs Thursday through Tuesday events).  This week's rankings start with last night's $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD), which more than doubled the posted guarantee.  Registration for the tournament closed with (88) entries, and an official prize pool of $10,376.  A total of (11) players would reach the money, with the evening's action playing down to a three-handed final table.  At that point, a deal was struck, with Vittorio Farcicelli (Boynton Beach, FL) taking home first place money.  Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an updated leaderboard:

October Weekly Leaderboard (October 1st-October 5th)

Tournaments: Saturday's 6:00pm tournament is one of the most popular on the schedule, as it offers an incredibly affordable buy-in, that always sees some great returns.  The $130 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD) event has consistently crushing the posted guarantee, as the prize pool reaches five-figures on a weekly basis.  

The tournament is structured with starting stacks of 12,000 chips, and levels that last (20) minutes throughout the event.  Registration is open through Level 8, allowing for almost three hours of play, prior to the window closing for the night.  

Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) until 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. These high hands must be aces-full or better, use both hole cards, and be the winning hand (in a pot that has at least $10).  From 11:00pm until close, $100 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes.

Friday, October 1st: Raminder Singh Can Book His Flight To Las Vegas, As He Wins Seat Into WSOP $10,000 Main Event!!!

ICYMI: One thing that separates the good from the great, is the ability to perform when expected to (or when all of the chips are on the table, to use a good poker saying).  Raminder Singh came into last night's tournament with a slight lead on the leaderboard, and knew that those close behind, would also be giving their best efforts.  As he has done all this month, Raminder showed up to the tournament, and took care of business.    Singh bested a field of (71) entries, to take home first place money in a three-way deal, and earn the coveted WSOP Main Event seat!!  Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with a finalized leaderboard for the month:

Tournaments: With the arrival of the weekend, comes the $160 No Limit Hold'em ($5,000 GTD)...the tournament that started this incredible tournament resurgence at the Isle Casino Pompano Park poker room.  The cards get in the air at 6:00pm, with players sitting down to starting stacks of 15,000.  Levels will last (20) minutes throughout the evening, with registration open through Level 8 (and the break that follows).

Promotions: From 10:00am (the minute the doors open) to 11:00pm, $300 high hands will be awarded every (30) minutes. In addition to the high hands, there is a "bonus" promotion in place, which offers $1,000 to the highest hand from the 10:00am-12:00pm time period.  If a player makes a straight flush in the 10:00am-10:30am qualifying period, and that is the best qualifying high hand from 10:00am-12:00pm, they will earn an extra $1,000 (in addition to the $300 they were awarded for the half-hour time period).
