Tournaments: At 5:00pm this evening, the $250 No Limit Hold'em ($20,000 GTD) "Final Table Finish" returns, with a little wrinkle.  This particular tournament had such a good structure, that the final table action ran into the closing time of the poker room (players are then faced with chopping, or bagging for a Day 2).  To keep that from occurring, there will be some slight changes moving forward.

The event will be structured with 25,000 chip starting stacks, (20) minute levels, and open registration through Level 8 (and the break that follows).  The new format-wrinkle comes into play when discussing payouts, as the tournament will pay out just the final table, regardless of how many entries.  Exact payout percentages are as follows (final tables are now nine-handed):
  1. 40%
  2. 18%
  3. 10%
  4. 7%
  5. 7%
  6. 6%
  7. 6%
  8. 3%
  9. 3%

Monday, June 27th: Jorge Rivera Tops Sunday's Three-Way Deal, Overtakes Top Spot On Leaderboard (And Earns $10,000 WSOP Main Event Seat)!!!!!

ICYMI: There was no shortage of drama during this month's Player of the Month leaderboard race, as it came down to the final event.  Sunday's $600 No Limit Hold'em ($30,000 GTD) was the final tournament for players to try and change their standing on the leaderboard, with registration for the tournament closing with (48) entries.  The $30,000 prize pool was scheduled to be spread across the top six spots, offering some healthy payouts and even healthier leaderboard points.  The action played down to a three-handed final table, with Jorge Rivera taking home first place money.  The 14.40 leaderboard points he earned helped vault him to the top spot on the leaderboard, meaning he wins a $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat!!! Official results from the tournament are listed below, along with an official June leaderboard (final):

  1. Jorge Rivera (Hollywood, FL) $9,000
  2. James Tomblin (Ft. Lauderdale, fL) $6,900
  3. Harold Klein (Boca Raton, FL) $6,900

  1. 40%
  2. 18%
  3. 10%
  4. 7%
  5. 7%
  6. 6%
  7. 6%
  8. 3%
  9. 3%
