Event 1 (Day 2): Should Of...Would Of...Pahuja Busts Short Of Money

Event 1 ($150 Monster Stack NLH)
Level 18 Blinds 5,000/10,000/1,000)
Total Entries: 1,142
Players Remaining: 93
Chip Average: 309,000 (31BB)

Evan Teitelbaum (Parkland, FL)

The field now has it's first player over the 1,000,000 mark, as Evan Teitelbaum and Mukul Pahuja battle in ended up being a 100 big blind pot.  After John Rodriguez opened to 20,000 and Teitelbaum flatted, Pahuja three-bet to 75,000.  "JR" laid down his hand, but Evan made the call, and the two would see a flop of Q J♠ 4♠.  After Teitelbaum led out for 175,000, Pahuja shipped his stack, and Evan would immediately call.

It would be the combo draw (K♠ 9♠) of Teitelbaum against Pahuja's Ax Kx, with Evan spiking a spade on the turn to win the hand and eliminate the most accomplished player remaining in the field.  As players were recapping the action for the hand, John Rodriguez mentioned that the turn card that brought Evan his flush, would have made "JR's" full house, and he would have won a massive pot had he not folded pre. Teitelbaum is very much on top of the chip counts now, as the money bubble looms close.
