In just under two hours, we will have the entire Championship Event field together in the same room, will Day 2 beginning at 12:00pm. While most everything in regards to today's play is set, there is still one unknown leading to the resumption of play...how many will enter with the starting stack? As mentioned throughout each flight of this event, registration is open until the cards are in the air for Day 2. We've seen some fireworks from players taking the Day 2 entry option in prior tournaments this series, and will the structure as is, it wouldn't be surprising to see success from those players entering this afternoon.
Everyone is currently looking up at the chip leaders from each flight, who ended up finishing 1-2-3 when all of the counts were verified. Alex Nguyen (Day 1A) still holds the overall chip lead with 543,900, AJ Gambino (Day 1B) is in second with 443,900, and Kevin Grabel (Day 1C) rounds off the flight leaders with 338,400.
The tournament can't be won today (as it concludes tomorrow on Day 3), but there is no more important stage of an event like this than the next (10) hours. Live coverage will begin at 12:00pm, and will continue through the conclusion of Day 2.
