Event 2 registration is still open until the first card is off the deck this afternoon (12:00pm), but there have been a total of (571) entries to this point. The prize pool that was guaranteed to be $100,000 is now over $171,000, and will be offering a first place prize in the range of $25,000. When the final of three starting flights concluded late last night, (41) players reached the bagging process, headed by Tampa based tournament professional Bryce McVay (379,000). McVay's end of Day 1C stack was good enough to lead the (75) players that return later today for Day 2.
Live coverage of Day 2 will begin at 12:00pm, as we look at the first storyline of the day...who utilizes the "Day 2 entry," and how will they end up doing? That will be just one of many storylines to follow as the tournament plays down to a winner. For those players that aren't fortunate enough to make a deep Event #2 run, a "second chance" tournament is on the schedule, beginning at 3:00pm.
12:00pm - Event 2 (Day 2) $360 No Limit Hold'em Re-Entry ($100,000 Guarantee)
