FSPC Main Event (Day 2): Updated Chip Counts At First Break

2017 Florida State Poker Championships
Event 20 - $1,500 No Limit Hold'em ($500,000 GTD)
Level 15 (Blinds 2,000/4,000/500)
Total Entries: 548
Players Remaining: 100/548

Christopher Acosta (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)

After two levels in the books, players are taking their first break of the day, and will be returning to Level 15 (2,000/4,000/500).  Joseph Couden took a rough beat in a pot that could have made him the overall chip leader.  We walked up to the table just as the dealer announced an all-in (Chris Acosta) and a call (Joseph Couden), on a flop of J 7 4.  Acosta started the hand with just under 190,000, meaning that the pot was worth close to 410,000.  When the hands were tabled, it would be Acosta's J 8 against the K♠ K of Couden.  The turn would bring the 9, giving Chris a few extra outs, one of which fell on the river (10♠).  A collective "wow" came from players at the table, all knowing what that pot could have meant, had the river not hit Acosta.

Couden was left with 130,000, which is below the chip average, but still over (30) big blinds.

Posted below are some updated counts from the field:

Danny Shiff - 550,000
Robert Jonsson - 430,000
Chris Acosta - 415,000
