While we've seen players dominate flights post-registration (Fausto Tesigni in Flight 1A, and Marco Cantizani in Flight 1B), there hasn't been a flight where someone jumped out to a real quick lead. Nigel Murray (Miami Gardens, FL) has now changed that, as he came back from break with over 100,000 (north of 330 big blinds). The fast start should not come as a surprise to those who know Nigel, as he has a habit of becoming "table captain."
Nigel is coming off of a SHRPO in which he cashed in four events, including a trophy win in Event #2 ($300 No Limit Hold'em Turbo - $18,570). The results during the series helped his career earnings surpass the $730,000 mark, and also brings his yearly earnings $9,000 shy of his best ever (Murray currently has just over $140,000 worth of cashes in 2017).
