Frederico Dabus (Doral, FL) wanted to make sure he got on the blog this afternoon (for his wife), and took no time grabbing the spotlight with a big call against Daniel Genacthe.

The action had been fairly slow to start the day, as the stacks are so deep, that nobody is looking to get involved in large pots unnecessarily.  The first sizable pot of the day just played out at Table 2, as Frederico Dabus and Daniel Genachte were heads up on the turn, of a board that read Q 8 2 6♠.  Genachte bet 110,000, and after a good minute or so in the tank, Dabus pushed forward a call.  After the J♣ completed the board, Genachte announced a bet of 200,000, pushing two yellow stacks across his cards.  Once again, Frederico would take his time with the decision, eventually putting the chips in for a call.  Daniel tossed his cards face down towards the muck, conceding the hand to Dabus, without either of the hands being shown.  Genachte is now in the danger zone, sitting with less than eight big blinds.

Frederico Dabus - 1,300,000 (65bb)
Daniel Genacthe - 150,000 (7bb)
