$100,000 Guaranteed
Level 4 (Blinds 100/200/25)
Total Flight 1G Entries: 161
Pedro Palacio (Delray Beach, FL) enters the field with a lot of confidence, coming off a final table finish in one of the largest events in the country. |
In the final seconds of Level 2, the tournament clock showed (138) entries, meaning that the $175 No Limit Hold'em ($100,000 GTD) reached a total of 1,000 entries. As eye-popping as that sound, the field is only going to grow larger over the next ten hours, with tonight's flight still yet to come, and registration still open in this afternoon flight. The currently prize pool is over $135,000, and should eclipse the $150,000 mark before the first level of tonight's flight.
One of the early entries in today's flight was Pedro Palacio (Delray Beach, FL), who is coming off a run of a lifetime. After winning a seat into the $3,500 No Limit Hold'em WPT Championship during the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, Palacio fell just two spots short of the televised final table, exiting the event in eighth place. The $86,740 that he earned for the result was the largest of his career, and helped bring his lifetime earnings over $352,000. Pedro's run is proof that given the opportunity, players that grind these daily events at properties in the area, are very capable of hanging with some of the best in the world.
Players will be heading on their first break at the end of this level, and will be returning to Level 4, with new blinds of 150/300/50.
