FSPC Event #14 (Day 1A): One Of The Newest WSOP Bracelet Winners In The Field

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #14 | $1,500 No Limit Hold'em ($500,000 GTD)
Level 1 (Blinds 100/100)
Total Day 1A Entries: 30
Day 1A Players Remaining: 29

Joseph Couden (Coconut Creek, FL) already has a first and second in this FSPC Main Event, and coming off a WSOP bracelet win just weeks ago, he would have to be considered one of the early favorites to run deep.

Joseph Couden (Coconut Creek, FL) has a lot of history with this particular event, winning the Florida State Poker Championship in 2015 ($154,726), and earning second place money in a three-way chop of the tournament last year ($120,000).  Joey is actually atop the all-time money list for the Isle Casino Pompano Park Poker Room, with just over $412,000 in earnings from this property.

One would think, that with all of those accomplishments and accolades, that it would be difficult for Couden to top them in just a year.  Joey managed to do just that though, as he won his first WSOP bracelet this summer, winning the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha 8B Hi/Lo (Event #53) event.  Along with the coveted bracelet, Couden would add $244,370 to his lifetime earnings, which now sit at $1,936,359.

Considering Couden's history in the room, he would have to be considered one of the favorites to run deep in this event.  There are a number of others that hope to put a halt on said deep run, including some of those that are already in action this afternoon:

John Magnetta
Nancy Thomas
Dmitry Agrachov
Gregory Spinder
Ido Ashkenazi
Alex Gladunov
Scott Zakheim
Kenneth Bruno
