FSPC Event #14 (Day 1A): WSOP Bracelet Winner Number Two In The Field, As Brian Hastings Takes His Seat

2018 Florida State Poker Championship
Event #14 | $1,500 No Limit Hold'em ($500,000 GTD)
Level 2 (Blinds 100/100/100)
Total Day 1A Entries: 41
Day 1A Players Remaining: 39

Brian Hastings (Ithaca, NY) just took his seat at Table 9, and so happened to be placed next to fellow 2018 WSOP bracelet winner, Joseph Couden.

Outside of maybe the WPT event that's currently running in California, there will not be a tournament running anywhere in the country, that will host more 2018 WSOP bracelet winners than this one.  Our second bracelet winner of the day just took his seat in the field, with Brian Hastings (Ithaca, NY) coincidentally sitting down right next to Joseph Couden.

Hastings won one of the final events of the series, but that didn't mean it lacked in notoriety (or worth).  Brian bested a field of (354) entries in the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. (Event #76) event, to win his fourth bracelet, and just over $233,000.  The decorated tournament veteran (both online and live) now has over $3,323,000 in lifetime earnings, but would be in line for his first ever Isle Poker Room trophy, if he was to win this event.

While Brian entered the field after the start of the flight, it's hard to consider him a "late arriving" notable to the field, as we are just under an hour into the day.  Some other recognizable players to join the action in Level 1 include:

Erik Christensen
Tom Gity
Terry Siele
Matt Smith
Alan Saltzman
Robert Urspruch
